It has been shown throughout history that the man who knows a LITTLE....and bases his understandings and beliefs on that known LITTLE.....tens to e the guy causing all the issues.

AboveAlpha...p.s...Those of us who know a LOT....tend to stay out of it and watch the Monkey's Dance!

Well, that part about those who know a LOT leaves you out of the picture. If you knew so much, then (like you said) you would stay out of religious matters... because it is obvious that you know very little on that subject. So we Theists now can sit back and watch the monkey dance in any discussions pertaining to religion.

In your case, I hold a differing opinion.

    Now...now....no sense making this personal.

I have experienced before when highly religious members end up either being tongue tied or placed in a corner by logic then they react like a caged animal and strike out.

You should have thought about not making it personal many postings ago. Your opinion expressed in your second sentence can also be said about some non-theists.

Well...everyone has a right to their own opinion...however a FACT IS A FACT!!

I HOPE you are not one to argue that Human's, Bonobos, Orangutans, Chimps and Gorillas are not all APES...are you? Hopefully not.

Why should I? Those are merely labels placed on those creatures by the scientific community. Because they are mere labels and not the objects themselves then there is no argument to be carried out. In other words, those labels represent the opinions of the scientific community.

    No...it is a CLASSIFICATION specifically...

Apes (Hominoidea) are a branch of Old World tailless anthropoid catarrhine primates native to Africa and Southeast Asia and distinguished by a wide degree of freedom at the shoulder joint indicating the influence of brachiation. There are two main branches: the gibbons, or lesser apes; and the hominids or great apes.

Lesser apes (Hylobatidae) include four genera and sixteen species of gibbon, including the lar gibbon, and the siamang, all native to Asia. They are highly arboreal and bipedal on the ground. They have lighter bodies and smaller social groups than great apes.
The Hominidae include orangutans, gorillas, chimpanzees, bonobos and humans.[1][2] Alternatively, the family are collectively described as the great apes.[3][4][5][6] There are two extant species in the orangutan genus (Pongo), two species in the gorilla genus, and a single extant species Homo sapiens in the human genus (Homo). Chimpanzees and bonobos are closely related to each other and they represent the two species in the genus Pan.

This has also been verified Genetically.

YOU as I am as well as every Human Being is an APE.

    Eh, not really.

I like to think of us as genetically engineered to serve our lord Cthulhu,

    Like in Mountains of Madness.

    Let's see...which has more veracity?

What is written in the Bible....OR....Human's being genetically engineered to serve the lord Cthulhu?

    Hmmm.

    Bible...Cthulhu...Bible.....Cthulhu.....Hmmm.

I am going to have to go with Cthulhu on this one!

There comes a time when one must realize futility. This individual has either no interest or ability to understand the realities of our existence and should be used as entertainment or ignored. There is a "View Post" thingy to click for the entertainment value....I use it when bored.

I agree and have come to the same conclusion.

He is not interested in rational discussion or debate nor is he interested in exchanging ideas and concepts.

Rather he purpose is Religion Specific.

    Boring...and sad.

And what is a classification but a label? Rationalization to the extreme.

You are right, I am not interested in making rationalizations (making excuses for my behavior) in order to hold a discussion. I don't have to rationalize my behavior because it is what it is.

    ??
    It is a length.
Like in graph paper, vertical and horizontal lengths make a grid which we can us to locate things.
Then, 3-D, where three lines can be length, width, and height.

We see babies discovering their limbs and gradually developing sight, learning to hear, etc.
All these things are part of discovering the body we had no idea even existed at birth.
    We were just mind then.

a cube of 1 plack length would have a diagonal of the square root of 3 plancks. But, a planck is indivisible. You can't have a half a planck.
any other measure, and it isn't an issue, but you chose planck.

    A Plank length is indivisible.
The diagonal between the vertices of the cube is 1.4 X one plank, and hence larger than a plank.

We are all limited by our perspective. Thinking outside the box to me is looking beyond the end of my own views and being open to the possibility that the view of another may be right and my view may be wrong. Those who lack the perspective of others are trapped within the box of their own thinking. No one person is closed to all other perspectives, and no one person is open to all other perspectives. We are all limited by our perspective, but we all from time to time crawl out of our box and learn from the perspective of another.

Everything we see is transmitted to our brain via our lens and retina which sends data to a section of our brain especially reserved for analyzing, sifting and turning that data into usable information to us about our environment. Therefore, everything one experiences is perception. We cannot experience true reality. In fact, I submit that we CREATE reality. The "Box" then is of one's own creation. Thinking 'outside the box' requires one to question what one perceives as 'reality.' This is quite difficult to do for most humans as we also have the need for a certain amount of conformity in our lives.

if its indivisible then 1.4 planks is not possible.
