    Oh for crying out loud,
You didn't even know the virus existed a few months ago.
Fear porn is so much fun!

You should call the CDC and tell them. They'd like to know.

They already know. Don't worry. Why don't you call them up and tell them that most people have herd immunity how.

Sure. If we undercounted by a factor of 10, and our 5.2 million tests vastly undercounted the cases, then 9 million are infected. The US has 325 million. As I said, single digits. Sweden has a similar rate of infected, so its numbers are similar. If most people had immunity, then a lot more tests would have come back positive.

And what if we under counted by a factor of 10 or of 50 or of 100?

If we undercounted by a factor of 100, then that means 100 million are infected. If that were true, a lot more of our tests would have come back positive. Its more likely that we undercounted by a factor of 10. Even with that, the death rates comes out to about 1.5%.

No, it would mean that 100 million have been infected but would test negative or would not have been tested because the sample tested was not a random sample but people who showed symptoms. You cannot make a statistical argument with such a sample.

The study shows that death tolls are largely independent of what policy is pursued.

You see what you want to see, regardless of the actual evidence.

Your post was a superficial, disingenuous pile of nonsense.

So hide in your house forever or until your slave master gives you permission to leave. I don't really care.

But the rest of us have lives to live and we're not going to put them on hold indefinitely just to assuage your irrational fear.

So you have no evidence, just more baseless speculation.

I have to wonder sometimes if you know you're being dishonest or it's just unintentional.

"The nation's death toll from the novel coronavirus surpassed 10,000 in the last 24 hours, but even that figure belied a grim truth: the real number of deaths is higher, but no one knows how much."
    https://abcnews.go.com/Health/coronavirus-death-toll-us-worse-numbers/story?id=70018321

This isn't fear. This isn't irrational hatred. This is just basic numbers. Even your stats that you're trying to cite are saying the same thing. This is not going away anytime soon. We will be here, dealing with this for a long time to come.

And its bobbins. First, we dont have internationally consistent data (e.g. UK excludes non-hospital deaths from its figures). The FT have reported, via ONS data, that more have died than the Blitz. And what do we know about British policy? They deliberately delayed to protect their financial market. To suggest there isn't a difference with Germany, who has a much lower death rate and initiated social distancing earlier (in death toll terms), really isnt credible.

Funny you should mention that. I've often stated that the liberties lost due to 9/11 is similar to the authorization over reach of this pan-panic.

Yep, killing folk is the ultimate liberty to the fake libertarian.

British policy has been constructed around free market economics. See PM Johnson's speech rambling on about how Britain is a market loving superhero teaching the world about the wonders of freedom. The dead aren't in a position to argue otherwise...

The study is based on the best available data. That we lack perfect information certainly isn't a point in your favor.

Free markets... in Britain. That's comical.

Your central bank certainly doesn't give the appearance of a market, free or otherwise.

Unless "free market" means something different in Britain?

The numbers prove that this virus poses virtually no threat to 99% of the population.

The numbers prove that the virus spreads largely independent of what policy is pursued.

The numbers are not on your side, though you seem to believe otherwise.

In any case, you and the other alarmists are free to hide in your homes forever. That is your choice. But others may make a different choice. Others may choose to set their own risk levels consistent with their own values and needs. That's the beauty of liberty - everyone is able to make their own choice. That liberty comes with risks is hardly a reason to abandon it in favor of the fascist policies you wish to pursue.
