We have a documented case here in Quebec of a person getting infected twice... I wouldn't bet on herd immunity to keep you safe for now.

Yes, Sweden is a veritable bastion of right-wing extremism these days...

Now the news is that the presence of antibodies does not equate to immunity.

If that be the case then immunizations may not work at all.

The present situation then will be sort of permanent, with those born having the DNA and natural strength to fight the virus living through, and those without that DNA and natural strength dying out, but with less dying over time as Nature culls the herd while mankind is helpless to do anything.

Which then would assume that no vaccine is possible. So, the observation would be that for some, a vaccine would never protect them, and for the vast majority, no vaccine was necessary to begin with. If, as the data is starting to show, lots of folks are carriers, and aren't afflicted, and many are afflicted but are still at risk because their immune systems aren't able to protect them a second time., what policy can you ascribe? Vaccinating carriers would have to demonstrate that the vaccine then also eliminates the ability to carry. No? And if it doesn't, then what?

Oh, and one more problem. If the virus mutates, as it seems to be doing, do you suppose that it is necessary to vaccinate against a single variant? or all of them?

This has nothing to do with protecting people from a virus. This is about consolidating political and economic power over society.

Assuming a vaccine is discovered, it will become a litmus test for establishing loyalty to the totalitarian state.

Face-masks and gloves will become the uniform of slaves.

And those who refuse to comply will be labeled seditious and dangerous and in need of re-education.

"Britsih free markets" is a greater oxymoron than "army intelligence".

Your authoritarian beliefs have killed more people than this virus could ever have a chance of killing though.

Guy was tested positive and was hospitalized for 3 weeks after which he was tested negative and sent back home. 3 weeks later he wasn't feeling well and went back to the ER and he again tested positive and hospitalized and still is.

Not especially concerned about any "hunting anyone to extinction" emanating from Quebec. Knock yourself out trying though, maybe get lucky whacking some poor sap over the head with a placard while they sleep.

You're right, 99-97% of the population will be fine from this disease. For them it will basically be a nasty flu. For 1-3%? That's not going to end well. For point of reference the American Civil War killed 2% of America's population.

We know that the official British data is a fib. However, the FT (via ONS data) have worked out an estimated death toll of 45,000. Compare that with Germany. Note that the UK did not lockdown as early as Germany. It will now be under lockdown for longer, but also have massively higher deaths. That's free market economics for you...

Surely you're not that naive? Free markets cannot exist. Its neoliberalism, fed by free market economics.

You're predicting up to 10,000,000 deaths in the US?

Stop blaming your failures on capitalism.
    It doesn't exist.

Nothing can be fed by something that dosen't exist. Neoliberalism is fed by your beloved government bastardized market economy

I'm not predicting anything. I'm saying that heard immunity may not work after all if there are many strains active presently and if the virus is still mutating.

Reading a study before you comment on it would be my recommendation.

You claimed that British policy is led by free market economics.

Is Britain's central bank your idea of a free market institution?

Does "free market" mean something different over there?
