He did just that postponing the keystone pipeline. He has to help out his railroad buddies.

Trump forced others to reduce the supply of cheap foreign oil

"Trump told Saudi: Cut oil supply or lose U.S. military support"

    https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...se-u-s-military-support-sources-idUSKBN22C1V4

"Trump threatens 'very substantial' tariffs on imported oil if Saudi Arabia and Russia can't reach a deal to push prices back up"

    https://www.insider.com/trump-threatens-saudi-arabia-russia-oil-tariffs-2020-4

why did Trump not want us to have cheap oil?

You think a pipeline which was under construction and never saw one day of production somehow kept prices low?

No, a pipeline under construction has no effect on gas prices. You have been played.

He did do that, but that is not the only reason why we see higher prices.

We were the largest producer of oil. They were undercutting price at their own expense to try and shut down our production. Trump did it for Americans and we still had very low gasoline prices. All that’s changed now because Biden and the far left want to price out fossil fuel vehicles. He recently bragged about it.

US Oil boom started in 2011, or about 6 years before Trump took office. Oil price it global, not something set by US presidents, and domestic production requires higher price in order to be profitable. Arabs can produce oil cheaply but in US it has to be extracted from the shale, which costs more (much more).

    As for 2020 vs 2021:

There is no clearer comparison between left wing energy policy and Trump energy policy. We were drilling everywhere and oil was the cheapest I can remember. I was astonished because through most of my working life below $80 /bbl was when many wells became marginal or unprofitable and drilling slowed to a crawl. During the Trump years oil activity was so manic that we destroyed most of our county road system, you know, infrastructure. Of course this being Texas we have been repairing that system since Biden shut down the drilling and we are close to the point of construction being finished. Of course, when Trump gets back in office we will gladly tear it all up again because it was worth it.

Your memory fails you. Oil price was twice as expensive in 2018 than 2016. Cheap oil price is a problem for US producers.

As for "drilling everywhere", nothing has changed, because nothing has been shut down.

As for domestic oil production, the chart below shows when the boom begun (in 2008. The boom occurred during what you would call "left wing energy policy". I know its all about who it in WH for you, but facts are facts. Presidents dont control things as much as you think

I don't care where you get your charts, I live right in the middle of the recent boom that was caused by shale and fracking. Both of those methods limited or cut off by Biden. Shale production needed that pipeline, Trump okayed it and Biden shut it down. This area was fracking. It was an old field that still has many pockets of production that were untapped and fracking made them available.

And I dont care where you live, because the fracking boom started in 2011 like I said, and what I said about oil price is also factually correct. You have not managed to dispute anything I said, because your mind revolved 100% around who the president it. It blinds you from facts. Fracking is alive and well, and benefits from higher oil prices.

We became the largest producer under Trump. Of course that is totally against the current woketard administration.

just think construction costs billions of dollars is delayed for 4 years doesn't have any effect at all on the custom fuel I don't think so.

No it isn't. It's just about money. Why is it so much better that the railroad transport petrol chemicals?

the goal is to move off of fossil fuels altogether. This a a good step in that direction.

Trump would be AGGRESSIVELY influencing the ME to increase oil production. He wouldn't be some pathetic, confused idiot asking nicely. Nobody is scared of Biden. The dude will just give you billions of military equipment if threatened. He's a passive democratic puppet of a pedophile who manages to stumble UP stairs.

    BUT.

He will not send out ONE mean tweet so yay!

That's incorrect the goal is to make sure the railroad gets exclusive transport rights.

We haven't reduced the consumption of oil because we're picking a less efficient means of delivery. If anything it has the opposite effect of that.

Screw the poor eh? Make living so expensive that the wealthy are forced to buy electric vehicles. This administration is a disaster.
