If we can get 60 senate seats, definitely.

I have no idea what blacks have to do with this. Looks like you couldn't resist the opportunity for a racist outburst. But as for the rest, you confirm what we all know: that Republicans believe that women (and only women) who have sex should be punished. However, a teenager who gets pregnant, or a woman who was raped, have little choice whether to become pregnant or not. And now big papa government has decided that it, and it alone, should be the one to make the decision for them.

We are on a clear route towards all-out fascism. And if we don't stop this, conservatives who do not speak out now will be the first lamenting their lethargy.

And what will 'the grizzly' be doing at the polls? Demanding a constitutional convention to actually address abortion rights legitimately, or just trying to empower more authoritative rule via centralized bureaucratic executive fiat?

The SC is correct that fedgov doesnt have the constitutional authority to interfere with how states handle abortion. We The People could change that... but pretty much no one is advocating that we actually do.

You think so? I saw poll numbers after the ruling was leaked and the needle didn’t move.

    “Da chart! Read da chart!”
BTW, IMO most state legislatures will write some accommodation laws. Except Alabama.

The Supreme Court isn't supposed to be in line with the will of the people. Our rights aren't decided democratically.

Very tone deaf right? Daily issues affecting everyone in the nation versus issues that will be decided at the individual state level which will affect a smaller percentage of people

Once upon a time, that might have been true. But five of the nine justices were picked by the Federalist party.

This idea that the court is not a political institution is cognitive dissonance on parade.

If your position is as popular as you pretend, why not use the political institution, Congress, and pass the law that you claim that everyone is clamoring for?

Biden voted to overturn Roe v Wade in 1982 saying women don’t have ‘sole right’ to say what happens to bodies. President had said in 1974 that he thought the Roe v Wade ruling ‘went too far.’

If the country had more people on the right than left, I wouldn't mind, but there are more of us, than there are of you, and that's why we are mad.

Well that doesnt directly answer the question, but it does seem to infer that you prefer the trying to empower more authoritative rule via centralized bureaucratic executive fiat route. I hope you realize that sort of lazy governing is what left us in this position of 'the SC giveth and the SC taketh away' in the first place.

Repubs in senate will filibuster, and Sinema and Machin won't carve out exceptions, nor return the filibuster to it's original form.
Yes, and Trump said, before he ran for president, that the Democrats were better for America than Republicans, and your point is?

The government didn't make that decision, SCOTUS made that decision. And Ginsberg herself felt as though this day was going to come. Look at the positive side: The opportunity exists to truly codify abortion as the law of the land with a Democratic Majority.

That "growling grizzy" is more like a popcorn fart. Dems are in power now so this is on them.

Lefties hate democracy unless they can use it to force their beliefs on someone. The proof is the recent bellyaching about the SCOTUS decision. Lefties are happy to use the courts to force their beliefs. Actually they are happy to use any way possible to force their beliefs.

The point is Biden was for overturning Roe v Wade. Who says he isn't in favor of the move now?

So you honestly believe that fascism=leaving law to voters of each state as opposed to leaving federal law across all 50 states to 9 unelected men?

Well, it has to. Women need to ponder hard what else is coming down the pipeline and how it affects them and the future. November 2022 matters, especially in the Senate.
