Further, a government lawyer has a very circumscribed attorney-client privilege — even where one does exist. During the Bill Clinton years, it was established in a case involving deputy White House counsel Bruce Lindsey that “White House lawyers cannot keep evidence of crimes committed by government officials to themselves.” The U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia noted “openness in government has always been thought crucial to ensuring that the people remain in control of their government.”

Today, Trump’s course of conduct is continuing — he continues to falsely assert that the 2020 election was stolen, and he refuses to concede the election. Nor has he fully condemned the Jan. 6 attacks on the Capitol.

They are prosecuting people right and left we have a right to swift justice.

 

Nothing dumb about it a proper AG would be protecting any future prosecutions and telling this partisan charade to stay out of his business.

 

"May" but not listed under PURPOSE. And neither would require the testimony of officials at the White House or others associated with Trump or investigation into their communications or discussions. Both of those are solely about the actions of the Capitol Hill leadership. What does the testimony about the SUV have to do with the above? And I've heard NOTHING in testimony about either of those "corrective measures".

 

Cipollone met with the committee for nearly eight hours on Friday. Pasquale appeared voluntarily and answered a whole variety of questions. He did not contradict any of the the testimony of any prior witness.

The interview was recorded on video and could be featured at upcoming hearings, including one on Tuesday about how the violent Trump goons came together and the role of extremist groups, as well as another hearing -- which hasn't yet been scheduled -- on the 187 minutes of Trump's inaction as rioters stormed the US Capitol.

The methodical exposé by one Republican officeholder after another and Trump regime insider operatives aplenty has been relentless is exposing the truth.

Trump's lie that he had won the election in a "Landslide!" resulted in various attempts to nullify democracy, and has continues to inflict damage on the nation, but the truth is emerging, and shall prevail. Trump's and his dead-ender lickspittles' desperate efforts to conceal what went down is failing.

I do not share your concern for "the Kardashians," but if you prefer your frothy fare to the U.S. House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol that is providing the sworn testimonies of so many conservative Republican officeholders and Trump regime insiders, that is your choice.
