The half white dude, who did absolutely nothing to improve the lot of African Americans and poured gasoline on every racial fire he could find?

 

He told a grieving family he can understand their pain because Trayvon Martin would look like his son. That's some genuine empathy right there.

And whether you like it or not, President Obama is an inspiration to a lot of African Americans. He's proof that someone like them can rise to the highest office of the land.

Oh Lord truly astonishing ignorance. Put it this when I'd been out of work for about six months the wife and I went down to apply for food stamps. The first thing out the social workers mouth was that if we got divorced they could give her a lot more help... Oh and by the way roughly 75% of African Americans are born out if wedlock because everyone concerned knows there is no way a dad with a crap education and no job skills can replace the benefits the welfare state promises and can't be collected if the mom and dad are married.
And you asked where those schools are and the obvious answer is in every 'hood' in America.

It's funny I could tolerate Obama much better than Biden.

 

Daniel Light made the argument that republicans are segregationist because they do not elect enough people of color. I can agree there should perhaps be more diversity among republican politicians but that is not segregation.

So why then out of over 20 candidates did not one person of color get any votes in the democrat primaries? Why wasn't Cory Booker able to get a vote?

Cory Booker is a black man and a sitting US senator. Impeccably educated at Stanford and Yale law. He was a mayor of a black city Newark NJ. His voting record was solidly along party lines. So why no democrat wanted to vote for him as president?

I would prefer Booker to Joe Biden.

Before LBJ's Great Society programs it was less than 10%. One if the interesting things pointed by Woodson's 1776 project is that inspite of Segregation and Jim Crow African American were making gains hand over fist decade by decade but those gains came to an almost complete stop after to hard Nixon finally fully funded LBJ's programs in the early Seventies.
