The President cannot call out the National Guard for domestic law enforcement and he has not power over the Capitol that is the responsibilty of the Capitol Leadership. There request MUST go to the SecArmy NOT the President. The SecArmy issues the order, NOT the President. The process by law starts with the Mayor and Capitol leadership making the request. Even if it was the President who issues the order to deploy here is what you don't get...............it wouldn't have happened any faster. The SecArmy cannot issue the order to deploy until the request comes from the DC Mayor and Capitol leadership.

So it is a moot point. What needs to be investigated is why that security was not there in place that morning. Then the riot and breach would never have happened.

 

Trump had no statutory role and even if he had it would have made no difference. The failure was not THAT DAY. The failure was the days leading up to Jan 6.

He has us on a head on collision to a recession
