The Next Covid-19 Milestone to Panic Over

Fast approaching is the official one million people infected inside the United States milestone, which the Mainstream Media will go ballistic over. Before next week is finished, it will happen. It may actually happen before this weekend is done.

As of today the count is 929,730 infected and 53,280 dead out of an official population of 328.2 million people -- plus about 11 million illegals. To put this into perspective before the politically currupt leftist-allied Mainstream Media sinks its teeth into it . . . Jolly old England (or the U.K.) with a population of only 66.65 million has got 149,599 infected and 20,381 dead. Orrrrrrrrrrr five times less population but nearly half as many dead.

Shall we talk of Spain or Italy or France? These important nations are in the world news with their leaders being raked over the coals and lies consistently told about them by a politically polluted press? Nope! What is the general tone of the news inside the United States? "Trump is president and we are all going to die!"

So anyway I thought I'd put this soon to be milestone into perspective before the leftist-allied Mainstream Media runs with it.

 

Indeed, the threat is being overstated. It *is* a threat. The degree of a threat however, is not what the IMHE/Imperial College thought it was, or even remotely close to the ball park. And if they feel the need to take credit, let's let them take credit so they can shut up.

It's like the President said earlier: "The news is real, the reports are fake." Exaggeration destroys the truth, and enables lies. We need less exaggeration and more neutral people. Which in the age of Trump is hard.

 

To add more perspective, there's South Korea, pop. 51 million, with 240 deaths.

 

I give credit to the South Koreans. We couldn't take the WHO test for the poor countries. Imagine if we did, that'd be ****ing low(and you'd rightfully criticize Trump on that. That'd be robber baron, rich plutocrat stuff.) The South Koreans didn't have any of the logistic problems we had, nor did they have politically connected people(who conveniently are the ones gaining from a vaccine) close to the POTUS.

The South Koreans had what we wish we have: A government responsive to the needs of its people.

This isn’t some type of influenza, it is a virus that attacks the inner linings of blood vessels — heart, kidney, brain, lungs — all are impacted. Some medical experts are saying damage is permanent leading to higher instances of stroke and cardiac events — scuba institutions are potentially warning divers to never dive again because of the damage. No thanks — I will sit my ass at home and continue my teleconferencing.

They were well aware that Wuhan virus was engineered to transfer to humans and acted accordingly .

 

The political Left want's this nation to economically finish crashing and burning while they blame Trump for what THEY insisted that the nation do. This is their only possible hope of getting senile Joe Biden into the Oval Office. Panic . . . nation-wide and sustained panic was and remains the political Left's goal while blaming everything on Trump.

When does it become an issue? What number do we have to pass?
How many deaths before it becomes an issue?

And trump’s polling actually spiked on this pandemic and is still elevated over where he normally stays — but I guess y’all need to start processing the loss now so feel free to use it as an excuse. Don’t forget all the illegals voting!

 

Fear sells the ideal that big centralized is needed to protect da people!

And so many sheeple not only accept loss of liberties and more powerful govt, they demand more of it.

So are we calling Wave 2 of this virus Covid 20? It would make it easier to keep track of what we are scared of as times passes. The CDC is already pimping the horrors of the second wave, but then I guess that’s a good move for their funding budget.

It is already an issue, because the political Left -- via the propaganda efforts of the Mainstream Media -- panicked this nation into economically shutting down and is doing it's politically partisan level best to keep this nation in an ongoing state of panic.

 

I agree with @Gatewood, the one million confirmed case milestone is going to be a media feeding frenzy.

It'd be nice though if the media would focus just as fervently on the antibody studies (3 now I think) which demonstrate that covid is far more wide spread and FAR LESS leathal than we'd thought.

My stance is shifting a bit. I'm warming up to the idea of getting things back on track sooner than later... with a few conditions.
We MUST pay attention to the capacity of our hospitals and our ppe/equipment supplies, we should strongly insist that the elderly and at risk stay quarantined, finally, we should do as Trump originally mentioned, open up strategically based upon which areas are most affected.

I think that a deliberately wrecked national economy FOR political reasons is fairly serious as that can end up killing just as many as this crafted Corona Virus scare.

And many more millions across the nation, meaning that this Covid-19 is in about the same category of killer as any other outbreak of the flu. There was another article elsewhere -- generated by a leftist outlet, naturally -- wailing that worldwide there have now been 200,000 people die; but failed to add that it's from a population pool of 7.8 billion people. The con game continues.
