LOL, Jesus, Moses and Abraham were all black. You better go back and study alittle History instead of His-Story.

I refer only to black liberals, not all blacks. To me, I see them as being easily manipulated by the white liberal elites.

I don't have anything good to say about Eminem, Iggy Azalea, and all those other white wannabes.

As I explained already, music isn't the same as characters that are established as white. Should we make Aunt Jemima white?

The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, all stole black music.

Jesus wasn't black. I don't know or care about the others. In The Ten Commandments, Ethiopians were portrayed by black actors/actresses.

I believe I already answered that question.

    nice excuse.

    stealing music is stealing music.

why didn't Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, and Beatles come up with their own (*)(*)(*)(*)ing music?

nobody owns a genre of music it would be the same as claiming some one owns a language. it would be the same as saying blacks stole basket ball because it was invented by a white coach and played by his white students
stupid analogies like that one you just made is why very few take you serious

was those songs copyrighted? if so then they should have been sued for doing so. it has nothing to do with black and white but a simple legal issue but of coarse you see racism in everything

i don't see it as an issue of racism, but of theft of intellectual property.

That is a different topic. Feel free to start a different thread about it.

Little Richard said he was suing some music label. Don't know how that turned out. Led Zeppelin plagiarized lots of their songs.

There's even been a black Dracula, I don't have a problem with it. In a way it is like Battlestar Galactica in which the original Starbuck played by Dirk Benedick was replace by a girl Starbuck played by Kara Thrace in the recent remake. I just chalked it all up to political correctness.

Now the reverse has been true also, The character Betty Boop was based on a black girl, Ms. ESTHER JONES, known by her stage name, "Baby Esther," was an " African-American singer and entertainer of the late 1920s. She performed regularly at the (The Cotton Club) in Harlem.

It really is no big thing

Popular plays and movies are often adapted by other cultures and cultural adaptation goes both ways. A particular ethnic group cannot claim exclusive ownership of a movie such as Frozen which is popular globally.

It is only theft if it was copyrighted material and then if you are the owner of that copyrighted material you take the user to court

IMO, it depends on the character. If it's a well-known character like Lil' Orphan Annie who has been in the public eye for decades, then it's too obvious and seen as just a black version of a white character. That's why it gets criticism.

    - - - Updated - - -

It all depends. If well-known black characters were made white, we'd probably hear complaints about it.

    no, its the same topic.

you clearly really hate blacks and black culture, and ignore similar actions by whites.

If you can't refute my posts, admit it. Don't fall back on the tired old liberal strategy of 'distract' and 'change the subject'.

My posts refer to liberals of all races, as they are behind most of the 'PC'ness'.

This whole discussion reminds me of the time when I was researching the ancient Greek myth of Perseus and Andromeda. This myth provided the basis of the Clash of the Titans movies (both the Ray Harryhausen original and the Sam Worthington reboot), and in these movies, Perseus's love interest Andromeda is always portrayed as a lily-white blonde lady:
    [IMG][IMG]
However, in the original myth Andromeda was the princess of Aethiopia, which meant "land of burnt faces" in the Greek language and traditionally referred to the kingdom of Kush in what is now Sudan:
And we have ancient images of how the people of Kush may have looked:
    [IMG][IMG]
Ergo, Andromeda would not have looked blonde but more like this:
    [IMG][IMG]
And when I found that out, I was miffed as hell at the Hollywood representations of this character. Somehow it seems worse to whitewash an originally African fictional character (especially a woman portrayed as beautiful) than race-bend a white one. Anyone else feel this way?

And why didn't Hollywood cast the movie and those characters with dark-skinned black actors then?

Regardless, I am talking about firmly established white characters who have been identified as white for decades and that everyone recognized as white characters.
