The peaceful protesters are allowing themselves to be used as cover for the rioters, and, in doing so, they're complicit in the violence and destruction.

He isn't. Portland has little in the way of peaceful protest and much in the way of an insurrection as the increasingly violent assaults cops and the US courthouse.

The mob is immitating Hitler's brown shirts, the SA. Hell they jeered at and through things at the mayor who enabled them and then launched another incendiary attack on the courthouse before being driven out of range by teargas.

I watched that video, and I didn't see any fire.

There's no fires being set in Portland.

    I've been informed.

    I feel so informed now.

Right, it's pure as the wind driven snow. ;) But once the first piece of glass is broken on real property, or the first laser is flashed at law enforcement, or the first object is thrown at law enforcement, or the first fire is set, it is no longer a protest or demonstration; it is a riot.

Ever consider it is the "peaceful protestors" that are not making the distinction and leaving the scene?

    100% correct

Hopefully, you are intelligent enough to understand why those Federal officers are on the scene and in Portland, they have been since the Federal Courthouse was constructed in the 1990's.

Wrong again. Federal police forces have been trained for and on the scene for decades charged with protecting Federal office buildings. They also have had trained backup from other agencies in the event they were needed. Our training facility was used more when Obama was in office than during the Trump administration.

If I was at a Tea Party(back when they were a thing) protest, and I saw people engaging in riotous destruction, I would've been out of there in a heartbeat. Once people start destroying and looting, they've lost the plot, and they're officially doing more harm than good for whatever cause they're demonstrating for, or whatever grievance they're protesting against, and sticking around will only make you part of the problem. Once the fires start, you need to turn on your heel, and leave that madness behind you.

When Tea Party protests ended, the protester would clean up the trash.

The entire point of the leftist anti-police protests seems to be creating trash for the adults to clean up, and all involved, both peaceful and riotous, are complicit in the trash making.

    No.
"A" does not equal "yellow". You're arguing that marchers for gun rights are giving cover to armed robbers.

No, I'm not. Marchers for legal gun rights are not giving cover to armed criminals committing crimes.

I'm not arguing that, because that's dumb, and not true.

I'm arguing that destructive rioters are using peaceful protesters as cover. Do you agree with that argument or not?

Then legal marchers are not giving cover to looters. You want people two blocks away from the looting to be responsible for
the looting, as if they had magical powers to know what is happening everywhere at all times.

How come all the peaceful protesters aren't stopping the handful of rioters?

Are you seriously going to go with the claim that the peaceful protesters are completely oblivious to all the damage and destruction that's happening around them? They don't see nothin' at all?

Please make that claim, because that would be funny.

You realize that these protests stretch numerous blocks and that not protesters can be omnipresent, right?

C'mon, just say it. Say that the peaceful protesters are totally oblivious to all the violence and destruction around them.

Say it. You know you want to.

Point me to the part of the Constitution that authorizes the Federal government do do police work uninvited and against the wishes of local authorities.

If you can't, then you will have proven that your claim that you would fight this type of forces is pure B.S.

And since I'm sure you won't... that's that.

You realize how loud that stretch of yours was, to excuse what was common knowledge? "Oh, let's just stay separate where cops can pick us off, instead of grouping!" Riiiiiight!

First you'd have to point out any government in history that guarantees the right to peaceful protests but stops riots by locking up peaceful protesters instead of the rioters.

There we go again. If the left had only practiced self-restraint. As with abstinence!
