What does this thread have to do with government overreach? The government isn't the one flattening tires. It's some moronic freelancers.

LOL! I understand since you cannot show the science that you need to engage in whataboutism.

But, the government is not dictating what anyone does with their body. It is up to the people to decide just as is what someone drives is up to them. Your phony claim is consistent with the phony climate change nonsense.

Glad I could destroy your premise.

It is a pathetic attempt to distract from the fact that they have no science to back up their claim. But the claim the government is forcing anything is false also.

Where did I advocate the government force anyone to do anything?

Unlike lefties I believe in liberty. If someone wants to drive a gas Guzzler that is their choice.

Lol, I’ve posted many scientific peer reviewed journal articles here in the past about climate change. Dig through my old posts if you want. People like you ignore them constantly, screaming “where is the proof” when it is handed to you in a silver platter. Wildfires, rivers drying up, chemical changes in the oceans, habitat ranges of many organisms shifting north at unprecedented rates, weather patterns, etc etc etc... you guys will stick your fingers in your ears and jump up and down screaming until the very end.

I don’t think government should be able to dictate what we drive. I think education is the answer. Luckily younger people are more aware about what is happening than older idiots are. Hopefully it is not too late to reverse the damage by the time they are running the world and we are all in retirement.

Lol, you believe in liberty until it doesn’t agree with your agenda, as seen in other threads.

The government hasn’t gone into overreach dictating what you can drive yet, but it probably will, because we keep giving it more and more power, thanks to the left and right.

Like I said, the solution is education, and people wanting to voluntarily do what is right for the well being of the planet and society. But this country is so divided by the left and right that we have idiots slashing tires on one end, and morons insisting on driving massive gas guzzlers on the other, just to show their defiance against what they view as “the enemy”.

It is silly at this point to think there is division because it is both the left and the right. It is definitely the left.

Yes, I do believe in liberty. Show me where I do not.....while you are at it show me the science behind climate change or just be quiet.

What you have provided is crap. Just because rivers are drying up and ice caps are melting proves nothing. Try again. Feel free to use real science and not lefty propaganda.

Climate change is a symptom of a greater issue, which is that we exceeded earth’s carrying capacity decades ago, resulting in all of the environmental issues we are now seeing.

    Look up this book:

“Energy Return on Investment: A Unifying Principle for Biology, Economics, and Sustainability” by Charles Hall

Also, if you don’t want to get the book, just google articles by hall, and I’m sure others will pop up. There is tons of information available.

Hahahahahaha... yeah... it’s obvious that no matter what I post you’ll say “that’s crap”. There are some other things that might blow your mind. The earth is round, and it actually travels around the sun, not the o5er way around. And the moon is not made of cheese.

There is actual proof of what the moon is made of and the movement of the solar system. Why do you need to defer to the "eggsperts" on climate change?

Answer: Because climate change is crap.

What we are seeing play out in the climate change/global warming brouhaha is the conflict that can sometimes arise between the individual's view of what is best for him/her and what is best for him/her in the aggregate; the society at large. Games theory and similar statistical concepts deal with this in a more formal way.

Given that our government representatives are individuals driven by ideology and political pressures, not to mention the siren song of 'campaign' funds, it's little wonder that our government stalls on some issues.

Regards, stay safe 'n well 'n remember the Big 5.

PS. If you wish to view a seat in the Congress of the United States of America as a personal business run by a single entrepreneur, go right ahead. It's an interesting frame to use. We are, remember, a capitalist society.

Of course god exists. What does that have to do with anything? If the proof of god was as obvious as the proof of climate change, there would probably be a lot more spiritual people.

Lol, you make no sense. I can tell the climate is changing just from the species of insects that have moved in up here, where they would never be otherwise due to their habitat requirements. The “eggsperts” as you say, just compile the evidence that is piling up right outside your door. You have to have more baseless faith to deny the climate is changing than you do to acknowledge it is. Do you have any good sources refuting the claim that the climate is changing? Or did you just come up with it yourself, or agreeing with your buddy from up the road?

So what? How do we know it is from carbon emissions.....we don't.

We own a one-ton diesel truck and two v8 4x4 trucks. It's necessary for what we do and where we live. Soy boy pruis drivers who feel they can vandalize our trucks because they don't understand not everyone works behind a desk all day, need their ass handed to them. I hope they run into the wrong person and learn a hard lesson.

People in their own little self righteous worlds have no comprehension of how things happen, who does the heavy work, or the nasty work. They just want their little world to be just as they want it regardless.

I laughed regarding a Prius pulling a yard trailer. One thing so many people seem to forget - it's not what you can pull, it's what you can stop. I've seen the results of that lack of knowledge.

Of course we can. Different gasses have different levels of what scientists call “radiating force”. It measures how much energy a certain gas will trap in the atmosphere per unit. Methane is actually rated quite a bit higher than CO2, but there is much more CO2 than methane in the atmosphere. The amount of CO2 has been increasing exponentially since the industrial revolution began, with corresponding effects with climate change as it has increased.

here, this is loaded with information and should answer most of your questions.

Perhaps they are just trying to reduce inflation!

They picked a good time to be criminals. Even when they get caught, there are little to no consequences.

So what? Correlation does not equal causation.

I see more of the same from your link. Nothing that actually links carbon emissions to climate change.

Sure the earth is getting warmer but what about solar flares? What about the earth temp changes throughout history before we had vehicles?

    Bullshit.

It's making decisions about another person's body that we have a problem with.

Do what you want with your own body.

You're all over the place, fine with government overreach when it suits your agenda, but lose your mind when it doesn't. All because of the views of your cult. Talk about arrogance.

of course that all happens as well, but never at the rate it is happening now. Species cannot keep up with the rate of change. Instead of a slow transition that always happens, ranges are changing at a crazy rate. Species are invading areas with no evolutionary defenses against them. Acidification of oceans are wreaking havoc on marine life, etc.

look, it’s obvious you are going to deny any connection no matter what evidence is put out front of you. Luckily there are plenty of others that don’t have there head in the sand that are actively working to overcome this problem. We will figure this out, but it would be nice to minimize the ecological damage we inflict. I know you could care less about that though.
