Uh that's false-most of those committing gun crimes cannot buy them legally

whites have the highest rate of legal gun ownership in the USA and very low rates of gun crimes

Hispanics and blacks-far lower rates of LEGAL gun ownership-far higher rates of GUN CRIME

fact: the ethnic group most likely to vote Democrat is the group that commits most of the murders/

fact the group with the highest rates of legal gun ownership have the lowest rates of gun violence

fact, places with the most restrictions against good people having guns often have the highest rates of gun violence

Let's say you're right - where do all of those criminals get their guns? Do you think easy availability has anything to do with it? Maybe?

easy availability has nothing to do with the laws

crack cocaine is totally banned in the USA. police aren't issued crack cocaine

    and its easily accessible

The most latest complete data is from 2013. Therefore I compiled the data on the highest ranking cities in each state that had a city on both the "safest" and "most dangerous" list for 2013 (neighborhoodscout.com). I used population and demographics from 2013 (city-data.com), and violent & property crime rates from neighborhoodscout. By comparing two cities of the same state, it allows state gun laws to be irrelevant. Highlighted in yellow is the U.S. average, red is worse than average, green is above average.

Perhaps crack is easily accessible where you are, but not where I am. Then again, I never went looking for it. As for guns, there are two nicely equipped stores just a few minutes from me where I can buy about anything I want legally, and several periodic gun shows that roll through the area. All quite legal and lethal. It's rather unusual that drugs, legal or illegal, result in mass deaths, quite unlike guns. There's a reason for that - drugs aren't designed to kill, that's why. Put more lethal weapons on the street and you'll likely end up with more killings. It's just that simple.

Ah, so you are another one, like the Administration, that can't tell the difference between law abiding citizens and criminals.

Everybody is a law abiding citizen until they are not. And for those who go over to the "dark side", what better way to prevent murder and mayhem than limiting (or eliminating) access to weapons that are designed for rapid killing?

If you're saying that drug dealers intentionally kill the buyers of their products instead of selling them more drugs, I'd say you're wrong. Otherwise, I have no idea what you're talking about.

Except for the 80-90% of repeat offenders for firearm crimes.
