The Worst Music You've Ever Heard Thread?!?!

And christmas music. I can't stand that crap. Yes I'm a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing Scrooge but if you're going to do a song at least come up with one of your own instead of giving us another freaking version of "I'll be home for Christmas" or "Silent Night".

 

I generally despise country music but there exceptions. so it's maybe 98% hate...heavy metal I'm at 100%...

i'm ok with raggae though I don't make a point of listening to it, there's no irritation factor for me

I don't really understand the point of screamo bands. You can't understand them. Which is a shame because the music sounds good until they open their mouth.

But yeah, seriously hate Christmas music. When I worked for Food Lion they played that crap all throughout the Christmas season, and last Christmas I said I would work and since we're a radio station you can probably guess what we played.

On a side note I've hated Christmas music long before either jobs. It's annoying.

 

I'd probably be okay with xmas tunes if it was for only a week before the day but it starts in September and October so I'm sick of it by d25th....I detest the commercialism that goes with it more I suppose...play xmas tunes and make people shop and spend more....

 

I'm not big on any holiday really. I just want people to leave me alone and let me do my own thing. It would help though if they didn't 20 different versions of every Christmas song.

I beg to differ. Some rap, such as Aesop Rock, Lecrae, and GZA, is okay IMO.

In my opinion, anything by Marilyn Manson is the worst music ever. It's garbage industrial metal. It's not melodic or deep. It's trashy music. Evanascence is awesome and emotionally deep metal; it's not the sterotypical headbanging music. I don't expect everybody to like music that emotionally deep (such as Evanascence.) However, I cannot understand why anybody would even like Marilyn Manson's garbage music.

 

I think Marilyn Manson's appeal is largely based on his image. It's the same reason people like Gaga. Her music is nothing special, but her image makes her out to be more than she is, and people buy into it.

Although I have to admit that I like Manson's work all the way up to his Holy Wood album. Everything after that, though, is garbage.

 

The reason I dislike Manson is not just because of the way that his music sounds, but also because of him as a person. He's an evil person. His songs glorify violence and suicide. Even if it's just shock value, it still influences kids into destructive behaviors. But I highly doubt it's shock value. A man like Marilyn Manson, who serves the devil and hates God, believes in the destructive messages that he promotes in his lyrics. He blasphemes God during his concerts. He's an evil man. Well, I do agree that Manson is very dark and nihilistic, but as someone who doesn't believe in God, I find him mostly to be an act. I've never had the urge to go out and kill anyone because of his music, although a kid who already feels that way could be encouraged to do so because of his music. Who knows, though?

This "music" by Kanye West features piano playing subpar for a 5 year old. He would have to step it up quite a bit just to reach the musicianship required to play "Mary Had a Little Lamb".
