    Don't have to build new plants, just hire people to work in existing ones...we run steel plants at about 75% capacity right now.

    Its not my money but yes I'd like to see the areas where steel was produced that were depressed by illegal trade practice of our trade enemies reclaimed. I'd put new electric mini-mills inside those old plants because the infrastructure and people are there and the plants are close to most of the industrial metal users. Answer your question?

    The people have already made the change that was necessary by rejecting Mrs. Clinton's candidacy. We will have to see where it goes from here.

    LOL. Of course it's your money.
    Are you really saying everyone in the world is our enemy? Because they all have lower prices for steel.
    I kind of like the mini mill idea. The steel companies should have done that 40 years ago and maybe we would be competitive.


    Granite City and an AK Steel Holding Corp mill in Ashland, Kentucky, are the only two idle U.S. plants sufficiently well maintained to be brought back any time soon, industry analysts said. Between them, they have 5.3 million tons of capacity available.

    For many other mothballed mills, “it is highly unlikely they would come back at all” because it would be too expensive to do so, said Clarksons Platou Securities analyst Lee McMillan. “We would likely see higher prices because of capacity constraints.”

    This reminds me of Trump trying to save coal.
    If your going to spend taxpayer money at least do it in a way that will make us more competitive. It's crazy to just prop up a dead cow.

    If Canada cannot sell it's products here they can still sell them to the rest of the world. And in the meantime we Americans are being denied the ability to buy the things we want at prices we can afford, and it is not Canada doing this to us, it is our own government
