    For one point and one point only. When it has been the intent of the Democrat party to impeach President Trump the day after his inauguration, and then send a highly partisan impeachment over to the Senate with only vague articles sends a strong message. Anytime an opposition Party has a majority in the House, impeachment shall be entertained. Just as in the election of 2016, Democrats shall always cry foul when they lose. They need to be purged from the nation!

    The more relevant question is- That if the witnesses and testimony had shown innocence but the trial still convicted, would the democrats cheer that?
    Of course, they would have. Because justice has no part in this except as window dressing for the illusion, the facade being maintained to hide the real motivations.

    But when the body conducting the trial refuses continually refuses to admit the witnesses and documentation necessary to prove guilt,then you don't have a trial you have a scam.51 GOP senators just showed they lie under oath when they denied witnesses and documentation after swearing on the bible the would conduct a fair and impartial trial.They showed their word is useless.

    Chris Wallace made an interesting, if cynical, comment this weekend that "Everyone won something out of this". He said the Democrats get to say "Cover up" until the election, Republicans get to say "Acquittal" until the election, and John Bolton gets a lot of free publicity for his book. :)
