Well, we know that the current Administration is filled with Obama hold overs, and if the lying media can be believed, they routinely attribute their leaks to former and current administration officials. But, I agree with you, we are guessing too much about who is behind this. We need grand juries impaneled, warrants issued, testimony compelled, trials held and sentences handed down.

Being policy advisor to the NSA (a politically appointed position....not one that suddenly givers her special rights and extra-constiutional privileges) gives her no more right to rifle and paw through people's private constitutionally protected matters than a congressional liaison to the FBI is entitled to go to crime scenes and poke around.

Rice is a political operative....not an intelligence analyst! When do you think one of you "smart" people will understand this?

The NS advisor has the ability to unmask and it's legal. If you don't like it change the law. Or if you think it's sometimes ok but not here...then tell me who she unmasked and make the case why it shouldn't have happened.
You do neither and just make vague accusations that aren't supported by any evidence...which is why the senate Intel didn't even ask and why trumps DOJ is doing nothing.

Then they went and beat the tar out of the most qualified person to ever run for the office, and cost Obama his legacy in the process.

Makes me wonder why Rice at first denied unmasking and then quickly changed that to "I have broken no laws" which says nothing about
the unethical and slimy way she used the NSA for hopeful political gain.

The whole thing was set up inside the Trump White House.

I forget (or no one would admit) which one of these clowns cooked up that hair brained sceme to try and make it look as though Nunes had to go to the White House to "examine" these "blockbuster" documents and then go on TV about them without talking to a single member of his commitee, and not to the ranking member at all! Some Republicans on the committee were apparantly in on the ruse.

He didn't expose anything. He was handed material that he already knew about and was told to make a show of "exposing" it.

Of course, he made a prize fool of himself by allowing himself to be manipulated by the very people he's supposed to be investigating, and obviously openly collaborating with them to manufacture a distraction.

In so doing, he undermined the credibility of his entire investigantion, of the entire Intelligence Community and of the very power of Congress to act as a watchdog.

This is one of the many instances where the self serving hubris of Donald Trump has resulted in other men debasing themselves and the institutions they serve.

Defend Nunes from what? Is Mueller reviewing Nunes financials too? Nunes was summoned to the secure facility at the WH to review documents he had clearance to see. He said he was troubled by what he saw, because media accounts accurately depicted the information. Nunes hasn't been disciplined, and isn't likely to be. He, unlike Rice didn't divulge any information. He only confirmed that Rice had.
