It means the bar for unmasking citizens should never have been lowered in the first place (assuming we still live in a world where Big Brother NSA will be listening in to every word you say to begin with) making it possible for partisan stooges like Susan Rice to do opposition research
on political foes through the NSA with the blessings of James Clapper and Barry Obama.

Just have someone explain this principal to you....it seems difficult for you to catch on to a very simple constitutional standard.

The whole thing was a pathetic stunt. He wasn't troubled enough by what he saw to discuss it with his colleagues before doing a standup on the White House lawn before anyone else in the committee even knew about it.

He disgraced himself, he destroyed the integrity of his investigation, he openly colluded with the people he's supposed to be investigating, and he dishonored his oath of office.

He did such a thorough job of undermining his own investigation that he has subsequently had to recuse himself.

He played lickspittle to President Chaos, and that's how history will remember him.

And aside from projected political gain, what made Rice think her extra constitutional snooping was necessary or warranted?
And isn't unmasking called for only when there is very good solid evidence to take what is supposed to be this relatively rare yet necessay step?
Otherwise doesn't this lax non standard for unmasking encourage exactly what it is that Rice appears to be doing....fishing for politically damaging gutcha material that could be used to swing elections?

We'd have to see the content of the calls to know what made her want to unmask. Why won't trump release it? What's he hiding?

Because presumably it contains information that the subject might not want released. There is a private individual who is at the bottom of this all.
