Never let them in in the first place. They ain't citizens. Children of US citizens and US citizens need those funds.

You aren't! The children's hospital in Boston, as well as those in other cities, do not charge for medical care for critically ill children. And on their "home soil," the doctors and hospitals don't have the knowledge or the means to treat their maladies.

Good grief! You righties will go to the effing moon and back to prevent a woman from aborting a fetus, but let even one critically ill child from south of our border come here in an effort to survive, and you're all okay with turning them away and letting them die. And you don't even see your own hypocrisy. Incredible.

They're charging. They can't continue to operate and stay in business without charging, directly or indirectly. Other people are paying.

Control the border, eliminate the problem, and let the citizens of their home soil pay for their care.

The USA is for citizens of the USA.

You would think that the illegal alien parents of the illegal alien children would be prosecuted and separated from their children and sent to prison for child endangerment for endangering their terminally ill children by crossing the Senora Desert to get free healthcare in the USA.

I did. There is no mention of a policy announcement. The families received letters - no public policy announcement. What am I missing?

The letter, that they misunderstood, was the announment that ICE was handling these deferments

I stated that no PUBLIC statement had been made - and I've seen no proof that one was. If this is such a great program, why hasn't it been tweeted?

And what was misunderstood in the letters? They were told that they had 33 days to leave, and there is no appeals process in place. When questions were asked of the USCIS, they said ICE was handling it. When ICE was questioned, they said they weren't in charge of the policy. So - what is the confusion on the part of the letter recipients?

You understand how this works don’t you? They don’t charge the family directly in cases like this but guess who pays? Everyone else. That’s how insurance and hospitals work. Illegals use ERs for example and then walk away. You think that’s all FREE?? Really? Money grows on trees? It’s NEVER really FREE!!!

Tweeted? It’s been around for years. All that happened and notice was given was that another department was handling it. Not sure why that needs some sort of public knowledge? I don’t care about the program, only those affect have a need to know to go to another department

Read the OP, apparently they thought they were going to be deported, not to simply go to another department

The only "free" lunch is where they are trying to sell time shares, and fools do pay.

What other department is now handling it? And are all these people lying about being given 33 days to leave the country or face deportation?

ICE...they need to send their request to them.

It’s buried at the bottom of the article. Read the entire piece

An ICE official speaking on the condition of anonymity said ICE was blindsided by USCIS’s decision to refer all immigrants applying for deferred action to them. ICE currently has no plans in place to review deferred action applications.

"ICE does not have a program for this nor do we plan to," the official said.

    That conflicts with the OP.

And actually if you continue to read your link ICE official stated they will review each on a case by case bases

So why should our government care about other governments' children when our government doesn't care about its own children?

Great organization I support as well. Doctors without borders is another one worth donating to.

Those with a genuine concern can donate and volunteer without diluting the already fragile ERs here in the US.

Not killing an unborn child does not mean the parents and the country they are from are absolved of their responsibilities.

"Raising a child is a big responsibility, can I kill it" is not a counter argument to our position.

    St. Judes, Shriners, among others.

How many kids did you save last year from Sierra Leone? None? Well I guess you're just as heartless as the rest of us.

When the last US citizen is off the streets, safe, and secure, then I'll care about the people who don't take care of their own people.

I'm a bit surprised that the US is apparently the only country where these medical treatments exist and curious how the medical care is being funded. There is literally no other place to go?
