What do you disagree with? Trump never did provide details. Not surprising because trump is a gdamn moron. Period. Any success will be despite him not because of him. Listen to the stupid motherf***** talk for christsakes. He can hardly string together a coherent thought.

But not an amusing joke. They're too dangerous for that.

I am I am being analytical and not an alarmist surely you didn't think that the Washington Post was going to just keep praise upon the president. And those tariffs have nothing to do with this deal which you're suggesting is poop. Why don't you read that using your analytical brain and find fault with this deal which is what we're talking about. We can speculate on what the tariffs are going to end up doing later as an unrelated matter.

Even Sen Toomey, who is much more connecting than you are I, said he still needs to read and process the agreement. The rest of the article was each sides leader saying what a great deal they made. Shocking. And uninformative.

Yes, we got dairy. We removed the power of Canadian corps to sue us for bogus violations to lopsided the market, and demand a competitive wage be paid (more to do w mexico) to decentivise labor and manufacturing across borders. I'm glad your guy sold it to you effectively, outside the dairy industry.

See above, and go ahead and search CBC for trade deal. Dairy industry screams sky is falling.

it's a it's a rather long article, are you sure you read it all? It goes into great detail about what the US was able to achieve. Please go back and find fault with that. And again the main point was the trade agreement with Mexico. We just had to drag Canada along for the ride and we made gains.

I don't know that that assertion is true, but it is irrelevant when the US is basically at full employment and more jobs are seeking workers than workers seeking jobs.

    You got 'some' dairy.
And the whole 'companies suing another country' was actually something I was worried about with regards to our Environmental Policies and the possible profit losses to American Companies that would bring about. Guess we both agree from our differing perspectives (and we still got to keep the Resolution panel that has helped us against the softwood lumber attacks on us) and the competitive wage clause helps both of us and only really negatively affects Mexico.

I think this little back and forth shows how good this deal ended up being, if both sides feel like they won.

If our economy is as red hot as all seem to think then why did we add $1.2 TRILLION to our National Debt in fiscal year 2018?On September 30 2017 the National Debt was $20.245 Trillion one year later on September 30,2018 the end of the fiscal year it was over $21.5 TRILLION.Is Dirty Donald running our country the same way as he ran his businesses,in maximum debt??And then comes his inevitable BANKRUPTCY???Is that his aim???

What, exactly, makes it the largest trade deal in US History? What win did the farmers get under this deal that they didn't get under TPP?

Yeah an increase of 3.5% in american dairy products and the world goes nuts. Considering we'll subsidize the losses just like the US does, they won't be bitching for long.

about .3% increase in dairy quotas and that's about it.

AS to the largest trade deal in history, it is since its a minor update to the existing largest trade deal in US history . You know the one that was a horrible disaster negotiated by amateurs that Trump would thru expert negotiations create a way better deal for the US. Who knew crumbs were what all that America needed to make great great again.

Yes, but as I understand it, when Canada put in their dairy protections there were something like 10K dairy farms. Now there are several hundred, most likely large corps as opposed to small family farms.

Canada can still pay their dairy farmers for lost production if they want. But excluding Dairy from Nafta makes no sense. And they knew it. So they gave that to Trump so he could say "win" and kept international protection for challenging US complaints of soft wood and lumber issues.

The record of the last several years, is that everything the dems do has precisely the opposite of the intended effect.
