actually that question is a trap. How many? who knows. one can only deduce from the precipitous plunge in the hillary brand over the last two weeks of the campaign and its strong correlation to big increases in russian activity. It simply didn't matter how many were changed in the end. My professional experience and expertise informs me that there were perhaps a few hundred thousand in the "undecided category" were swayed. It wasn't intended to change in decided voter's minds, merely reinforce their confirmation bias. Which many loudly proclaimed in bars and churchs and social gathering as well as their social media networks.

Trumps election was not the principle objective of the disinformation assault. It was to increase political and social division, question the institutions of american democracy, from law enforcement to freedom of the press. It was to foster animus, hatred and fear across the board. it was to disrupt normal discourse and to demonize the other (regardless of side). In doing that there was a bias towards trump's campaign in messaging and a focus on smearing hillary and exacerbating her considerable baggage.

It spectacularly overachieved. Imo, it will be a case study in history and military classes for centuries.

So when asked how many votes did they change, its not the real argument. Its just their ignorance of how the russian attack worked and what its objectives were. ARe you surprised that trumpettes think its all about trump and the legitimacy of his presidency. The russians didn't get him elected, there was not collusion by anyone and oh yeah "this russian thing"is a hoax.

Anyway now that the Defense Department has squashed any claim of russian hoax and basically renders the "dossier" conspiracy nonsense irrelevant to the issue. The people charged with protecting america from all enemies foreign or domestic believed the intell and have planned not only to defend against it, but also develop offensive tools to deploy in the new battlescape created by the russian weaponization of social media.

When you expect people to pay for them and close DMVs in poor neighborhoods, yes. Nobody (in power) suggesting voter IDs is suggesting that they be free and mailed to the house and attached to automatic voter registration at 18 (or establishing legal residency) as would be the logical path.

Baloney. Voter ID cards in almost every state are already free, and if they do cost money, they certainly don't cost any more than a drivers license or a passport.

Photo ID is required to do anything as an adult. Suggesting it is some kind of disenfranchisement is one of the dumbest arguments out there.
