No ut is not and does not the Tax and Spend clause is about funding the United States and its funding and debt and maintenance.

ROFL yes that "art" they use to earn money like the art used on other networks. So they can warn a little and stop taking taxpayer dollars.

Education meets the standard of the General Welfare of We the People.
Only 15% of their funding comes from taxpayers and I seriously doubt that you would even miss the $1.37 per year that it costs you.

And yet now, through the lens of time, both artists are considered master's who's originals are worth millions.

Just because you don't think it's Art doesn't necessarily make that so.

And the NEA exists along side private enterprise, without issue for decades. And should be allowed to continue to do so.

Just because some bureaucrat thinks it's art doesn't mean I should pay for it.

The joys of living in a collective society means sometimes paying for things you don't agree with that are for the betterment of the whole. Art is most assuredly a betterment for society.

Throughout history governments of all kinds have sponsored the arts.

Why should We the People be any different simply because a few of us are cultural Philistines?

I didn't say that you said that, did I? I was making a point about how presenting opposing viewpoints doesn't make a news outlet or program unbiased.

It's biased, and NPR's "news" programs are the worst of the two.

That being said, it's a shame that the progs running the "news" programs on PBS and NPR are going to wind up harming everyone else because they refuse to be objective. The CPB does run some good programs, as do the local affiliates, and I'd be a lot more amenable to keeping the CPB on the public dole if someone cleaned house and transformed the "news" department from a propaganda arm of the Democratic Party into an unbiased and balanced news department.

No, I'm not like you and Fox News. I actually take the time to view or listen to a broadcaster before I judge them.

You don't think and speak for us.

In reality, Righties dislike the CPB because of its ideological bias, particularly in its "news" departments, and unlike collectivist GroupThinkers on the Left, we don't need to be told what to think.

As I noted before, if the CPB's programming is so valuable it should have no problem supporting itself like every other network. If it can't and it won't clean up its "news" departments, then Lefties such as yourself can step up and put your money where your mouths are.

Just as all conservatives like to do. There is no one who wants ZERO federal gov't. You included.
So you want to spend everyone else's money, just like everyone else. On things many may not to want to spend money on.

You guys want $3B to build a useless wall at the Mexican border.

Then stop bringing up they are biased or aligned with a party. Maybe not you personally, don't remember, but many of your side has.

There is no such thing as a nonbiased media, always has been, always will be, as long as humans are operating it...

And re-runs of Downton Abbey and Antiques Roadshow are more educational?

PBS already has some good programming and I think it's audience will stick behind it if it goes private. I don't see why it would have to become something it isn't.

Actually, Leftists don't get much of anything, much less the Right's "number". That's why your side of the aisle is stumbling and grumbling in the political wilderness right now.

I've been saying that for some time now - ALL news outlets are biased - and I agree with you that it will always be that way.

So, you are 1 RWer who got educated. woo hoo.

WND, waste of bandwidth. MTA, protecting targeted students, terrible. And you have 1 Teacher, sure there will be more, just like you went out fo your way on ethics, there are those that don't. So don't lump the entire education system in with a few bad apples.

There most certainly is how do you think all those buildings get built and maintained, all those employees paid, mulitary maintained, debts paid, federal land maintained.
In the Constitution there are three enities the United States, the federal government, the States and the People. Go read the Tax and Spend clause.

All the more reason PBS remain unbiased. If they want federal funding, they need support of both parties.

In the 1500s everyone in Europe was christian, or they were dead or in jail. Or they fled the country.

Did they set the constitution up so no church could ever rule again?
Did they set it up so any religion can meet freely without repercussions?
You don't know the constitution do you?

Except your 1st post about schools was private. So I assume you only want private schools. Regardless of what charter schools are.
So you need to tell us, are you the typical RWer who thinks all education should be private or should there be public education?

And will private schools take in special needs kids? Will they cost the parents more? What about kids who's parents can't afford to pay a private school? Send them to a work farm?

Autistic children are also allowed in private schools. Nice argument.

You keep missing all the special needs.
You don't answer how they will pay, who will pay.
    Keep dodging though.

Special needs children are allowed in charter, or "private" schools.

What you think may not be reality.
Several educational type channels have already lost all educational type programming and do nothing but run reruns of Duck dynasty, American Pickers, and pawn stars.
So you thoughts don't seem to be based in what has happened to those stations that did the same as PBS.
