Earned media typically dwarfs bought media for presidential candidates — but nowhere near the level of Trump. With almost $2 billion of value estimated in earned media, Trump's total is more than double that of Hillary Clinton, the Democratic frontrunner who had the second highest on The Upshot's list. Trump has received more than six times the estimated earned media value of the No. 2 Republican candidate on the list, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas.

And Trump has spent a fraction of the money his fellow combatants have paid for advertisements. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush spent more than eight times as much money on advertising as Trump — and he's been out of the race for nearly a month. Cruz, Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich have all spent more money than Trump on ads. Even New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who dropped out of the race in early February and has since endorsed Trump, has spent nearly twice what the GOP frontrunner has to date on bought media.

While much of the attention Trump has received has been far from positive, but, as Trump wrote in "The Art of the Deal," he's a strong believer that "good publicity is preferable to bad, but from a bottom-line perspective, bad publicity is sometimes better than no publicity at all. Controversy, in short, sells."
    http://www.businessinsider.com/donald-trump-media-coverage-chart-2016-3

The total of Trump's earned publicity is worth more than $2 billion dollars, more than anyone running for POTUS has ever earned or spent in a campaign. True a lot of it has been bad media, but Trump says any publicity is good publicity. So, while Trump is whining about the veteran campaign money that he got caught hording, and lambasting the media over the nerve of them to question his integrity on matters like this, he is getting that ever-so-loved public attention.

Poor Donny's horns are showing again.

Yawn. What's got you so frightened that the reporter simply reported the facts? Facts that you cannot counter, so you're forced to bray and blather about kool aid.

Try reality sometime. Even a Marxist like you might come to like it.

A very long winded way to deflect from the fact that the media once again got caught working for the DNC

You don't get it do you? Trump has received $2 billion in free publicity, and according to Trump, free publicity is good whether it is good or bad.

One thing I have noticed about you Trump guys is that you are extremely loyal. It is too bad you don't have a candidate worthy of your loyalty.

Trump calling anybody a 'sleaze' is hilarious. The most thin-skinned, corrupt, sleazy, money-grubbing, lying sack of sh1t to come down the pike. But his sycophants are in full denial and lap everything up like faithful toilet seat sniffers.

No, that's the Republican meme. The meme is an convenient tool which allows and encourages Republicans to ignore many inconvenient facts. One should ask themselves why most scientists do not identify as Republicans. Why is it Republicans hate institutions of higher learning and the free press? But, hey, it's easier to accept the meme.

Oh, and how would that be? The truth is the the "media" isn't pro Hillary. The mainstream media is by and large pretty fair. Two, the media didn't get caught working for Hillary, because it never has worked for Hillary. If anything it has worked for Trump by giving him millions in free advertising. As you have demonstrated, Trumps backers just eat this (*)(*)(*)(*) up. They love the crazy bombastic and hypocritical things he says and does.

Now the the Republican primary is essentially over, things are going to change for Trump. It's one thing to market to crazy Republicans. It's quite another to market to main stream Americans. Trump is going to get much more scrutiny. Things are going to get very difficult for your beloved Trump. Trump is and has been the subject of a number of lawsuits alleging fraud. He will have much more difficulty persuading Americans at large that being sued for fraud is just somehow normal in American business. A lot of people have been convicted of similar real estate fraud schemes, and from what I have seen, I'd say the plaintiffs against Trump have sufficient justification to support their accusations against Trump. And I don't think most Americans want a fraudster POTUS. We will see how well Trump the showman does in the coming months.

Most scientist are liberals and most engineers are conservatives. It's a left brain right brain thing. Scientist, artist philosophers etc tend to live in a world they want to believe in while engineer's and business oriented people live in reality. The world needs both of these types for balance but letting academic types try to lead us in real world scenarios leads to disaster. In the real world real bad guys run over the academics like a freight train. Witness Putin and obama and how Putin has toyed with our president like a cat with a mouse

That's great! Go ahead and root for that moron; the press can be very vindictive. They are going to eat him alive and if he gets elected, everyday they'll break his chops.

Maybe Putin would then reach over the table and smack Trump in the puss.

What is your source of information on Trump?

The MSM has very little remaining credibility left to lose.

Yeah, just wait until Trump gets some positive reporting. He'll 'love' the reporters then-just like he 'loves' Hispanics and Muslims. Or so he tells us-usually after telling us how rich he is for the umpteenth time.

    - - - Updated - - -

What source? Trump's history, that's what. Shall we begin with his lies?

Oh looks here, people getting mad over the truth. Reporters these days are very sleazy and care more to create false narratives rather than display the facts.

You mean to tell me that Fox News Channel nor Christian Broadcast Network White House reporters are democrats? Pat Robertson is notorious for hiring only Christian Conservative's in his news department.

Party membership doesn't qualify as fair and balanced. You could have a Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, Independent, Green Party and god forbid, a Communist reporter on the White House Press corps who could give objective reporting.

Yes, as another has pointed out, where is the support for your assertions? The fact is you have no credible support for your assertions, and that should be a problem for folks like you. But it never is. Additionally, engineers are not scientists. What they do is more akin to accounting or plumbing than science. For example, software engineers write code. They make the machine do what someone wants it do do. Scientists create the machine.

Science requires a certain objectivity and reasoning based on logic. Scientists process new information and make sense of it. Unfortunately Republicans are usually anti-science. They aren't into logically thinking. Republicans frame their thoughts around their beliefs (e.g. the flat world). And that's a killer for scientists.

So you admit most scientist are liberals but deny right brain professions tend to be conservatives. Guess you think everyone's liberal huh.

"So, how do industries shape up? A bit like you'd expect. The graphs below, from a 2013 paper Bonica published in the American Journal of Political Science, show how industries lean based on the number of donors giving to candidates on each point of the ideological map. Academia, entertainment, media, tech, and law really do skew to the left. Real estate, banking, mining, construction, farming, and the fossil fuel industries love the right. The pharmaceutical industry, meanwhile, has a bit of a split personality"

That's stupid as hell. Trump has already amassed more votes than any republican candidate for the nomination in history.
More than Reagan. More than Bush,
    More than Nixon's little tush.
If you put Trumps numbers against Hitlary's it's no contest. Trump beats her hands down.
What twilight zone news are you watching? MSLSD?
Trump is ahead of Clinton in the RCP average.
Your attempts at propaganda are still lame.
She will not pick up that much of Sanders vote. They'd rather chew off a limb than vote for the Enabler in Waiting.

Your pundits have been so wrong, and it is funny that you still give them worshipful nods to their Elite Knowledge Of Everything.

    Get real.
