This isn't about a hard working president taking a break now and then. This is about an incompetent fool who works very little, and spends a lot of time watching TV and playing golf. Or tweeting insults to any and all who don't sing his praises loud enough, or dare to criticize. There are toddlers more emotional mature than Donald Trump.

On the other hand, when he's on the golf course, he can't destroy much besides a shrub or two.

Presidents are mostly figureheads when it comes to day to day policies, such as prep for disaster relief. Professionals present them with options and plans, and they pick one. That's the sum total of their constructive involvement in that process. Wanting them to do anything else is wanting a figurehead to look at and revere, not wanting a functional response. In fact the figurehead's personal presence tends to cause such chaos/disruption of normal patterns in the system that any bonus it brings is negated.

A British naval ship was sent before all others to the Bahamas. And the great people of south florida spent their monday and tuesday (once they knew they were out of danger) collecting food and water and other needed items for the Bahamas. I know that Trump is not the President of the Bahamas, but when a catastrophic event occurs to one's neighbors, a leader would do all they could to help. Over 60,000 are without food, water or shelter in flooded areas - one just one of the affected islands. Forgive me, but I don't see golf as a priority for a decent leader.
