I agree, I did not agree with the Trump shutdown

Trump caused fear by playing it down at first and lying to the people, now no one trusts him

Then you've no room to criticize nor have any judgment on what's a failure or not.

Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but that they know so much that isn’t so. - Ronald Reagan

We do not **** around, my friend.

And of course, were sleepy Joe at the helm, we’d have no 200,000 dead Americans.

I remember the "15 days" admonition, and there were several others, too. It would take me over an hour but I could assemble a list of all the ways that the "medical experts" have contradicted themselves since last February!

And, yes, it is a "novel" (new) virus... nothing show-stopping about that, either. Indeed, if there's one thing that we do know for sure it's that the "experts" know little or NOTHING for sure, Dairy. A guy like Trump (and it would be true of anybody) knows only what the "experts" tell him! So, Trump ends up being 'the goat', but critics with just as little knowledge and NO RESPONSIBILITY sit on the sidelines and snipe at him. Typical Democrat hypocrites!

Again: the "experts" we SHOULD be interrogating about this "novel" virus are those with deep knowledge in chemical-biological warfare! This virus was developed by the Chinese in their bio-weapons labs in Wuhan, according to a Chinese doctor who WORKED there:
    https://www.ndtv.com/world-news/chi...onavirus-was-made-in-wuhan-lab-report-2295323

"Common cold" doctors, like Fauci and Birx, very obviously know little if anything about bio-weapons, and why should they? So, their ignorance is forgivable. But liberal Democrats feast on their every word if it can be twisted to make Trump 'look bad'....

Violence and killing. Riots have not resulted in a lot of killing.
But RW terrorism is on the rise and the source of most violence and killing. Most associate killing with violence.

KKK put little social cards. No violence yet, but the threat of it.

KKK leaves card at family's home in response to yard sign
SHELBYVILLE, TN (WSMV) - Election season can bring on tension between people with different political views.

Some families in Shelbyville are now fearful after receiving threatening cards from the KKK over political signs in their yards.

tRUMP has ramped up the violent rhetoric this election season. And many are taking him at his bravdo.

You need to ask the DNC for fresher talking points. ;-)

"The slow but relentless acceptance of what epidemiologists call “non-pharmaceutical interventions” has made a huge difference in lives saved. The next step is pharmaceutical interventions.

Some are already modestly successful, such as the antiviral drug remdesivir and steroids like dexamethasone. But in the near distance are what Dr. William Schaffner, a preventive medicine specialist, has called “the cavalry” — vaccines and monoclonal antibodies. They are likely to be far more effective.

Since January, when I began covering the pandemic, I have been a consistently gloomy Cassandra, reporting on the catastrophe that experts saw coming: that the virus would go pandemic, that Americans were likely to die in large numbers, the national lockdown would last well beyond Easter and even past summer. No miracle cure was on the horizon; the record for developing a vaccine was four years.

Events have moved faster than I thought possible. I have become cautiously optimistic. Experts are saying, with genuine confidence, that the pandemic in the United States will be over far sooner than they expected, possibly by the middle of next year."
NEW YORK TIMES, A Dose of Optimism, as the Pandemic Rages On
The months ahead will be difficult. But the medical cavalry is coming, and the rest of us know what we need to do., By Donald G. McNeil Jr., Oct. 12, 2020.

With next-to-no-notice, Trump and Pence put together a task force to procure badly-needed medical equipment, arrange supplemental hospital facilities, and a massive "rescue" program because so few Americans had any money in SAVINGS ACCOUNTS at all....

But, yeah, Birx and Fauci were the "best that money could buy", or, at least that's they were represented to be. Trump could already see that the WHO was 'in the bag' for China, and, that even the CDC was flaky and unreliable. Who was he supposed to believe?

Nevertheless, we got the respirators, the gloves, the masks, and a Herculean effort began to start finding effective medications to fight the disease, and, for the development of a vaccine.

While all this was going on, and in spite of the fact that only a short time before, Democrats had tried to remove him from office using a bullshit ruse, Trump pulled the different parts of government together and sent out billions and billions of dollars in "rescue" money as the economy was headed straight into a nosedive.

Trump worked tirelessly, night and day, for months, even catching the virus himself -- and overcoming it completely in a matter of just a few days!

So, here we are, about seven short months later, and what has the Democrat contribution to all this enormous effort been...?

BITCH, SNIPE, COMPLAIN, RESIST, OBSTRUCT, and than, BITCH SOME MORE... about EVERYTHING Trump has done....
But Democrats can go on bitching until their lungs collapse -- here is the most recent OFFICIAL (U3) unemployment statistic: 7.9%
    Link: https://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.t15.htm .

I'd love to learn from any of "progressive", radical Democrat how they think Joe Biden, or even their wonderous "Messiah" Obama could have done one damn bit better under the circumstances!

[IMG]. "I'd do the same things Trump is doing, but they'd love ME for it...."

remember this from the Trump admin because they did not prepare, this was in April 2020

    trump is the leader.
He contradicts the experts. That makes him the goat. As he intends it.
He only cares about the stock market as that is the only thing he can run on for reelection. Doesn't matter how rampant the virus becomes. As long as he thinks he looks good.

And everyday, something new is learned. Meaning what they knew yesterday changes today. So of course how it mutates, how it transmits, how to deal with it changes with new information. That is true for anything in the world when humans need to understand it.

I abide by a rule. Believe half of what you see and none of what you read and hear. I see your link and read it. But I don't buy 1 source. I realize if it is a cover up, the info would be hard to come by.

Fauci, common cold doctor? Please. He's been at his job since the Reagan admin. And it's not about common colds. He's the nations top and best infectious disease expert for 40 yrs.
We've had novel virus' in the past and haven't had this kind of outbreak.
I will trust what Fauci says and believe nothing about what trump says. trump would have no clue and distorts all issues to fit his personal narcissist agenda.

He should believe the guy who's been the nation's top expert for 40 yrs. As every other president has done since Reagan.

Instead he gave interviews stating how bad this could be for the country.

Then went on his denial tour.
    15 will go to ZERO.
    It will magically disappear.
The reaction to the virus is the new DEM HOAX.
He claimed to take no responsibility.

He did next to nothing to help the country and States.
Pushing for a vaccine is the one thing he may have pushed for.
Only, IMO, so it would be available before Nov 3. As he hoped it would benefit is reelection.

You are wrong. Trump cut international travel with China. China restricted internal travel from Wuhan, but not international travel. Guess Biden needed to protect his interests in China.

he only cut travel for Chinese nationals, he allowed Americans to continue to travel back and forth freely. Guess Trump needed to protect his interests in China.

after that, Trump did nothing, no getting supplies ready, no nothing, just played it down - he did not want people tested as that would make him look bad after he said 15 going on zero, just like his weather gaffe, he could not just admit he was wrong and move on, he had to double and triple down on the lie
