I seriously believe that the cult like behavior of his supporters is getting more and more transparent every day. Trump could come out and say that he could have “talked to Hitler and WWII would have never happened”, and the minions would claim him “WWII never happened because of saint Trump”

No progressive I know admires Putin or Xi. Trump, on the other hand, and MAGA supporters do admire Putin, Xi, and even Orban. Orban spoke at CPAC in 2022. Orban is, not exactly a person who is holds the ideals of progressives or Democratic Ideals. The problem, the GOP and the hard right are more authoritarian in nature, which leads to supporting people like Xi and Putin's authoritarian power more than anything else.
