Bothers me as well, but it bothered me a lot for most Administrations. I think the last President we had that made a significant dent in the deficit was Bill Clinton. I would like to see Trump follow suit in this regard, even if it means building a few less ships/guns.

    Also from the link...
Sorry, but being poisoned and ripped off by polices that enrich the already rich kinda sucks by a thinking person's standards.

I believe our military spending is only 16% or so of our GDP, not much you are going to make a dent with by cutting that.

Entitlement spending is about 64% of our spending, that's what you need to ax to make a dent. Getting people to be self-sufficient and less reliant on the government is the key.

Yes Clinton did do that but he was forced into it.

The first two years of his presidency he had no intention of cutting anything, it wasn't until the republicans took congress that Newt forced him into it.

And its a good example of what can be accomplished when the two sides are willing to compromise and work together.

I know that Trump is willing, its the democrats throwing up the roadblocks here.

I detest the stupidity that buys into it.

That is very true, but that has been the "norm" for them going back decades.

    Sometimes.

As you said, Clinton was successful and produced very good results, democrats also worked with both Bushes fairly well. Honestly, this huge partisan divide didn't really start until Obama who absolutely refused to compromise with the republicans which is sad because that was probably the weakest congress we have ever had. Had he thrown them a few bones they would have bent over backwards to catch them.

Other presidents throughout history have had tough times. Jackson is a given, everyone hated him, FDR had a problem, ironically with his own party, both sides basically hated Jefferson who when from a supporter of the legislative branch to trying to increase the power of the executive once he became president, Hoover tried to work with congress but once they put up a few roadblocks he basically gave up being president.

As I thought, you've got nothing. Just generalizations based on constant pro-Trump internet propaganda.

    I know right!

They focus on Trumps failures so far like not getting the wall yet or healthcare but the man came in like a Tornado and turned Washington upside down and has been remarkably successful. He has put America first, as he promised he would do and frankly, every single thing he promised on the campaign trail he has addressed even if they weren't successful attempts.

I give him credit for that and I personally think he will go down as one of our nations best presidents.

So paying $1.50 for milk last night was an 890% jump? Wow, glad I live in my "fantasy" while you live in "reality".

Well, I am middle class, so milk and gas are free for the month when you factor in my tax cut.

Trump is the unsung hero of the world economy
If you believe this, then you're probably a member of the wealthiest 2%; or a blue collar worker who knows nothing about economics other than bring home a paycheck. When prices go up into the stratosphere for everything you need to live, you might change your mind. That won't be long coming.

My suggestion is that you read the article - or at least the OP. Trump is the "unsung hero of the world economy" because his efforts to "make America great" have resulted in extra revenue for the rest of the world and less revenue for the US.

Asian markets are IN THE RED as the President's HARDBALL causes negative ripple effect...FORCING CHINA to the negotiating table.

The US economy is KICKING MAJOR ASS ITSELF...but, of course, your Masters DEMAND that you deny/downplay/ignore that...predictably...
