So Trump is not just making America more wealthy, he's making the world more wealthy.

    What's the problem again?

He did the exact opposite of his political promise by making the US trade deficit worse.

First of all, he's not the one that added 10 trillion to the debt.

Secondly, a deficit is caused by spending, which is the purview of Congress.

Ever gonna blame Congress for that? As Obama Democrats once pointed out: Congress passes the bills. Should POTUS Trump reject these bills? Yeah, but he's been made a lame-duck even before official lame duck status.

    No, I'm afraid not.

Deficits are not a taxing problem, they're a spending problem.

The CBO, which is horrible with future budget analysis, has already stated that the tax cuts are pretty much funding themselves and we're not even through the first year.

    https://www.investors.com/politics/...cuts-revenues-deficits-paying-for-themselves/

    Tax revenues are up 9%.

Then there's inflation on mandatory spending items that can't be negotiated anyway. Those drive up the costs significantly too.

College has been unaffordable long before Trump. Universities have been ripping young people off for years and no one has called them out on it!

Gas is $2.75 a gallon in NY so wth are you talking about?

My taxes keep going up because of Democrats & their Democrat supported unions! Wages can’t keep up with taxes!

    Let me get this straight.

The World (including the U.S.) is doing better financially because of Trump and somehow that's a bad thing.

    WTF?

Sure, I blame Congress for their willingness to accept and embrace trump's failures in exchange for passing a couple of pieces of legislation. But trump is the one who sets and authorizes the agenda.

Huh? I am saying that cause of the tax cuts to my personal income that I earned, getting Gas and milk are at least "free" for each month, as in I get to keep more of my earned money that covers at least those two necessities.

Well, the lazy and government funded free loaders aren't getting an increase, so yeah, not everyone is benefitting.

OMG you are so delusional you've almost rendered me speechless. Trump is trying to STOP everything you mentioned which ALL presidents since Clinton have allowed or created. Those presidents built China's 3rd world economy to where it is today which is number 2 in the world. I mean you must get your information from CNN or MSNBC.

I suggest trying FOX if you want the actual news, not just Trump haters who will LIE, hoping supporters' minds have been completely wiped clean of independent thought, those who lack objectivity like robots that will keep going to the polls voting for the democratic party.

FYI, Trump supporters are well aware he is not a public speaker, and wish like the rest of the country he was better but that said, his accomplishments make up for any shortcomings in that area. Although Obama was an extremely smooth articulate person, that's all he was. He accomplished nothing good, it was all bad for the nation and most know that who was paying attention. I fell for his line of BS as well and voted for him his first term. Six months into his presidency though it became obvious what he was really up to which came in wave after wave all bad for the nation. Since then, I've made it my objective to learn all I can about politics and I cannot emphasize enough how important that is these days because this country was and still could be headed down the same path as Venezuela unless people see what's really happening and think for themselves.

That is an interesting piece of information and I appreciated the links, but even your sources note that the cost of the tax cuts are only being partially offset by increased economic production. And they don't tell the whole story.

The current CBO projection, issued only months after their initial one, went from 1.5 trillion over 10 years to less than 500 billion over ten years. More than a 66% reduction in their initial assessment a few months ago.

Tax revenues are higher than they've ever been and are climbing despite the tax cuts.

Donald Trump is reviving the US economy and bringing prosperity back, where his predecessor said there was nothing that could be done.

Clearly Trump's magic wand is working.

But please, you and the rest of your Democrat brethren are welcome to keep resisting prosperity for all Americans.

You honestly don't think that we'll have another 10 years without recession? Because that's what those projections are based on, in other words, pure fantasy.

The current bull market already is the longest in history. With Trump's tax cuts fanning the flames, it will burn itself out more quickly.

When that next recession hits, the deficit will fall through the floor, easily talk about +$2 trillion per year.

I'll make sure to start a thread referencing your post when that happens, and it is when, not if.

No, they're based on the current economy, which is why the initial projection of $1.5 trillion was based on the shitty Obama "those jobs are gone forever" economy.

Like I said, I'd love to hear more about your theory of raising taxes until we prosper though.

" When have we seen this pattern in the past?"

Yup, it isn't as if we haven't seen this act before.

I hope I'm fully retired by the time this one unravels, as it surely will.

I know it's off topic, but what's going on with both sides pushing for policy that we know doesn't work? Can't we say no to protectionism and socialism for good?
