1 Biden will be a lame duck from day 1, Moscow Mitch will make sure of that, so will Trump and his 75 millions supporters lobbying incessantly their wavering republican representatives.
2 Obamacare was a disastrous, uber-expensive, non-functioning monstrosity to begin with (I know, I had it). It's a huge loser and the Dems don't have anything better than that.

PS a real meaningful healthcare reform would require drastic changes that would royally screw the doctors, hospitals, the drug industry, health insurance industry, even medical schools - all uber-loyal Democrat constituency. If you believe the dems will ever do it I have a nice bridge in Brooklyn, mint condition, priced for quick sale. The dems like to keep ghettos and healthcare as campaign issues, they have zero interest moving a finger about them.

I just don't see Trump going to prison. Fines and penalties sure but I can't imagine an ex president going to do time in prison. If Trump does not find a way to pardon himself, Biden would probably do it before it happened.

I hope republican do not try to hurt America cause Trump lost, but it would still be better than having Trump as President

I disagree. Biden is the exact opposite of Trump. He is not flash and dash, there is no thunder and lightning but he gets things done. Trump coasted for 4 years on a good economy given him by his predecessor and did nothing but loudly boast of it. Biden will improve on what he is given to make all our lives better and probably give the credit to others. Biden is the "Quiet Man." He is what America used to be and what we desperately need right now

most past Presidents go quietly into the night, if Trump chooses not too, and he is found guilty.... lock him up

if Trump doesn't want to follow norms, then fine, let's not follow them

it's the States where Trump is said to have committed crimes that Trump has to be most concerned

I'm trying not to seem vindictive but sometimes it's necessary. If Trump walks off with no prison time that will signal to any other crime boss that we see our high pols as above the law. It might very well begin the process of the Cartels taking us over as they've done in Mexico and Russia.

Most of our past Presidents do good yeoman duty as an eminence grise. Some, like Carter, have rivaled their performance as functioning Statesmen. Even Nixon wrote some insightful studys of his life and the Presidency.

Trump won't like that and I'm glad, he wouldn't be good at that either.

Most cases per capita are currently the Dakotas, and Iowa. The bluest states are way down so far.

Don’t bet on it. Every thing trump touches turns to ****.
Let’s see how he screws up being out of office, assuming he stays out of jail.

At his height which was just before he became President, Trump may have been worth as much as 8 billion, which is what he was saying.

He is not worth even 4 billion now and has substantial debts which he guaranteed personally coming due. His businesses, particularly the golf courses, have been hemorrhaging money badly. His legal disputes have not helped even with staff lawyers. All in all being President seems an expensive hobby.

Golf is probably how he will concede. He'll one day go on a golfing trip and never return to the white house. There probably won't be a concession speech other than complaining about how unfair the election, the election officials, the courts, and everything else that doesn't coincide with his claims of winning the election is. He probably won't even attend the inauguration

    I disagree with this completely.
He should concede and then continue golfing. The less time he spends in Washington, the less damage he can do.

Even if Biden does die 2 years in he will undoubtedly have done far more than Trump even if that consists completely of not having done any harm and he will leave us in the hands of a capable woman instead of the clone of Cotton Mather

I agree with you. This is why so many of the current congressional Republicans are not speaking out against him now. Too many of his core supporters live in their districts, and as with most politicians, keeping their jobs is far more important to them than personal honor.

I'm resigned to the probability that he won't do any time. He'll delay, delay, and delay some more and probably die of old age comfortably in bed at Mar-a-Lago before the wheels of justice finally get around to him.

If he were smart, he'd resign now, and let Pence take over for the last couple of months. Pence could then issue a Presidential pardon as Gerald Ford did for Nixon. That would protect Trump from the federal obstruction/corruption charges. Then all he needs to do is cause enough chaos in the New York state cases against him to delay justice as long as possible.

Failing that, he should probably consider relocating to a country with no extradition treaty.

Yeah but I think you would look at the situation a bit different than someone like Biden. The office of the presidency is a lot more complicated for someone like him. I can't see him allowing Trump to go to prison. It would tarnish the office and the nation forever. Biden has already hinted that he is not interested in pursuing further action when Trump leaves.

Maybe you are right but my gut tells me that things like this will never happen.

I doubt Trump was ever worth 8 billion at anytime. Trump likes to inflate numbers. That is why I said he may just become the billionaire he claimed to be.

Once he leaves office he will probably start his own media company and be on the air daily. He will be preaching to his people and he will have no restrictions on what he says. He will be televising campaign type speeches 24/7 and people will echo what he says just like voter fraud and fake news. He will shape a narrative and people will follow and parrot it. No one in the republican party has the ability to stop him.

They won't. It's after all a southern republican state and with all eyes on just one little state (and the lessons of November 3rd) the Dems won't be able to steal it.

    Biden won in Republican-controlled Georgia.

if he can do that, our candidates for Senate can win.

especially now that Conservatives are abandoning the GOP since they won't support Powell and Rudy's crazy conspiracy theory about "Venezuelan Dominion flipping millions of votes".

    :p

Well he is going to have some legal wrangles to over come before he gets to that status and he will no longer be protected by the office.

    Exactly.

Trump will still be making a complete IDIOT of himself on Twitter (even after he leaves).

But, at least after he leaves, Twitter is more likely to suspend him (or even ban him) for his Ludicrous (and Moronic) Conspiratorial BS.
