Congress has no power nor authority to criminally prosecute anybody. Now they might conduct what amounts to a criminal investigation, or hold a kangaroo court, or just to show off, but it is gussied up to look like some sort of oversight or legislative fact finding.

Did you think that was a good rhetorical question? It is not because the 4th amendment does not protect every citizen from the criminal investigative process.

 

It protects them from unreasonable search and seizure, requires probable cause and protection from self-incrimination as if if they are investigating you and come to question you they have to isue a warning to you. The fact is Trump asked an investigator during an interview am I under investigation and he was told no. And that on top of the fact it is illegal for a person, as in Director of the FBI to lie to the President.

 

Because he was asked about a blow job ? Which investigation was about his sex life again ?

And remember, he was there because he followed the law and honored the Subpoena.

 

It would help if you related historical facts. A blow job had nothing to do with his impeachment, disbarment, court fine or his settlement. And if you are referring to the grand jury testimony, Clinton volunteered to testify; he was not forced to testify through a subpoena. The only thing about his sex life that played any part was his lying about it and suborning witnesses.

Clinton was impeached for lying about the BJ. Monica told Tripp that she and Bill agreed to lie about that, THAT is what he was impeached for

 

None of the above is correct!

Without the BJ and the lie about it there would never have been any impeachment because the only charges against him were perjury and OOJ when he was tried in the Senate.
