Again, you keep dodging the question. WHY was he asked about a BJ ? What crime was committed that required knowledge of his sex life ?

Rational question. In the Paula Jones suit it was probably clearly probative in that it shed light on his actions related to sexual suit. In the grand jury it directly addressed his lying to the public ala "I did not have sex with that woman......" though it was maybe partially setup questioning.

 

IIRC his perjury charges all centered around his testimony about his relations with Lewinsky. It sticks in my mind there was something else, but it escapes me..... so maybe not.

Well, that is what prosecutors do, give misleading questions or trick questions to catch the suspect in some kind of untruth or inconsistent statement. Just ask Flynn, Manafort, and Papadupoulos how that works.

I personally think that Clinton's impeachment, while having some justification, did not rise to any level near high crimes and misdemeanors. Lying to a grand jury is serious stuff but impeachable??? I also think Johnson's impeachment and Nixon's almost impeachment, while both had some justification did not come close to the high crimes constitutional criteria. But now it is getting worse rather than better. The justification for impeaching Trump is totally non-existent -- no evident justification whatsoever.

 

The dems arent going to impeach him. Their starting the “impeachment inquiry” solely to hurt his chances in the election. They are going to make public all of the dirty laundry they can find on him and use that to hurt him in th election. I don't think the Ukraine thing is a “high crime” either, but it is illegal. And with a normal candidate that should hurt him, but this is Trump. The right hasn’t held him accountable for ANYTHING. Hell they actually try to justify everything he does

I was just watching Fox News and they are actually not trying to defend what he did, but they are doing the “Well Biden did the same thing”. That in itself is a big leap for Justice when Fox stops trying to justify what he does and stop at defending him. The funny thing here is that they know what he did was not good, and I honestly think they are cought in a catch 22: They cant defend Trump when they were saying Biden should be prosecuted for the very same thing

I think you are correct about the direction of the impeachment inquiry. I think you are wrong about the Trump-Ukraine call. I know of nothing illegal about that call other than how it is described by made up news.

 

You are parsing my words to closely. I said he was impeached for lying to a judge and the grand jury. He was not impeached for getting BJs.

 

In part I think that is correct.

As far as anybody knows the president has committed NO crimes of any sort, let alone any impeachable high crimes. His accused crimes all come from Trump haters butts or their reverie.
