Well, it isn't special rights they are after its equal rights. And they don't have that. You can't refuse to rent a house to somebody because of their religion, sex or race. But in 33 states you actually can refuse to rent a house to a homosexual.

Now if i can't refuse to rent to somebody based on the lifestyle choice of being, say, a jahova's witness but i can based on their sexual orientation, that is saying one lifestyle choice is superior to the next.

So either we get rid of these protections against discrimination or we apply them equally.

That is really all I'm after.

No one should be forced to rent to someone they don't want to.

Nobody is, people are simply not allowed to discriminate based on a few identity characteristics such as race and religion.

So you would rent your farmhouse you just renovated and modernized to Amish people? :roflol:

Or that guy with the 80s Monte Carlo with the pearl paint job, body lift, and 24" rims with low-profile tires who drives up shaking your building?

A little common sense goes a long ways.

Unless they were on rumspringa i don't think they would want to. But legally i couldn't deny it to them based on their religion alone.

No based on behavior not race, religion, sex, or color.

Yes, and not renting to someone because of their race or religion mashes absolutely no common sense.

At which point you could assess liquidated damages - although I doubt an Amish individual faithfully practicing their religion would be able to pass a credit check.

You can use relevant factors to refuse to rent - what do you believe is relevant if the individual finds the same sex attractive?

    Since you said:
I assumed you would have more input on the subject - I guess you are arguing simply for the sake of doing so?

Fortunately various state and federal agencies disagree with your assessment.

It's a ridiculous poll that can't be answered unless you are dumb enough to believe that he is actually pro LGBT. He is not. He is hateful and now has surrounded himself with hateful people. http://www.hrc.org/blog/new-donald-trump-leadership-team-already-well-versed-in-anti-lgbtq-hate

Regardless of what anyone says, a status quo Government with Hillary in power will be much much worse, more Welfare, fewer jobs, more Inflation, we will circle the drain, no thanks, I will hold my nose and vote for Trump over Hillary any day.

I'm disappointed in you Doc. I regarded you as a reasonable person- until now. I will add that even if those who think that Trumps ideas on the economy are correct, even if I stood to benefit from them, I could not support a bigot on principle. Some things are deal breakers.

It would not have been more possible to come up with more absurd logic. Your argument is that because Trump claims the country should have enforceable borders he is anti-gay rights because that means he would be stopping transsexuals from illegally migrating to the USA along with everyone else.

I suppose your next argument will be that because Trump supports 2A rights then obviously he is supporting murdering LGBTQ with guns.

    What a joke.

Here is the different. The Clinton's stance on open gays in the military must be thrown out, while at the same time Trump said he had no problem with gays in the military.

Trump stood before a quite anti-LGBTQ rights groups including highly influentially politically, and said he supports full equality for LGTBQs. For over 4 decades Hillary Clinton said did not and continued to do so until last year, when polls made it clear her anti-gay rights stance was unpopular.

Between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, Trump is the social liberal, not Clinton. Rather, Trump is a supporter of capitalism at the business level and Clinton supports capitalism at the mega money financial and global level. Trump supports actually business. Clinton supports big money manipulation.

Other differences is Clinton wants nation building building wars and Trump does not. Clinton wants to renew the Cold War and Trump wants no Cold War. Clinton wants bombs for other countries. Trump wants to do business with other countries. Clinton sees the USA as just a state in a world government. Trump sees the role of the American government to put Americans first.

But, again, Trump is the social liberal, not Clinton. Cruz was correct. On social issues, Trump always has been and is a New York liberal. However, he also is a New York entrepreneur.

Even calling Trump a bigot 1,000,000 times does not make it true. There is no racism, bigotry, sexism or homophobia in his past. For example, Clinton pays women 1/3rd less and has men in charge. Trump pays women as much or more and puts women into top management roles.

Even on marriage matters, Trump is the honest one. When he cheated, he admitted it. Divorced. The exs speak highly of him. The Clintons maintained a sham marriage to put on a fake facade. Everything about the Clintons is a fake.

My first two choices were #1.) Trump and #2.) Sanders. My absolutely last two choices were 2nd from last Clinton. Very last was Bush.

In short, the furthest from the status quo and insider elitists as possible.

Lets see what nonsense we have here. I posted documentation about the kind of anti LGBT people Trump surrounds himself with as well as information about his own anti LGBT words and activities.

YOU respond with a fabricated and absurd argument about the boarder and transsexuals and assign it TO ME in order to try to make it look like I can't defend it. Do you know what that is? It's a classic logical fallacy in the form of a strawman argument- a weak argument that you can "knock down" and appear to haves cored a point. Truly pathetic, but I understand since you have nothing else.

And no matter how much mud you sling at the Clintons, or how many crumbs of positive thing -if true at all- you come up with , it does not change the truth of what and who he is at the core. Harping on the Clintons is just another logical fallacy, this time a red herring to avoid dealing with the reality of Trump

You can keep fantasizing about Trump all you want. You can keep throwing dung at the wall in the hope that something sticks but none of it changes that reality of what I have presented.
