He's not going away because his supporters don't want him to go away.
Unlike the worthless career politicians that have absolutely ruined our country that people like you continue to support.
Tell me: what has biden, or any other worthless, corrupt, career politician done positive for the tax payers of this country?

....and you have the audacity to criticize President Trump??

    Really, really??

You guys see a Trump behind every tree. If he is so awful then he should have gone away by now because the majority of folks would ignore him. Too bad the minority of Trump haters can't let it go.

The CPAC should just be renamed to TPAC (the first letter standing for Trump, just in case..), because they are just a bunch of MAGA Trumper extremists. Figures that they invited Orban to speak, another RW extremist, nationalist wannabe dictator, although he is much closer to becoming a dictator than Trump ever was in his wildest dreams.

This shows that if Trump decides to run (and I think he will, his ego is too big to not run), DeSantis will have no chance and have to kiss the Trump ring to play second fiddle. The fireworks will be interesting. The question is: Who is going to be stupid enough to sign up for the VP slot? Must be someone with really low self esteem and a death wish.

I really don't think the repubs are going to bend over for trump again this time.
Politicians are ambitious and the repubs know trump is an albatross who will sink them and ruin the country.
But if he were to win, he would be a lame duck potus only interested in settling personal scores and trying to rig the system to enrich himself and keep himself in power.

Nope, I don’t see anger. Concern? Definitely. Resolve to keep a moronic wannabe despot away from the reins of power? Absolutely.

But not hatred. People don’t tend to hate the incompetent and the useless….they tend to pity them, if anything…

You pointed it out, not me.

And before you want to claim it as a "global problem" the US dollar is the global reserve currency. Like it or not US policy affects the whole world.

As I said, it could be very well possible that their obsessive hate is fueling Trump's popularity with his supporters.

Looks like my hopes that the party could be saved were all for naught. They no longer stand for anything except the braindead, thoroughly debunked Big Lie. The party is functionally lobotomized. And they are the biggest threat to democracy that our country faces. By far. Nothing else comes close. I used to be able to say that Trump and his followers were the biggest threat to democracy, but not an existential threat. I can no longer say that. Trumpism is an existential threat to democracy. The two cannot co-exist, and Trumpism has remained not only disappointingly influential, but the driving force of one of our two major parties.

I'm betting most who would vote for a right wing candidate do not believe the election was stolen.

Then why support a candidate running on nothing but that? In the very least it proves they are perfectly fine with overthrowing our elections if they continue supporting a man and a movement who tried to do exactly that.

Nonsense. The only people who convince themselves that the right believes it is OK to overthrow elections is the leftist echo chamber.
Most, and I mean over 70 million Trump voters, don't believe in the "big lie". I don't know why Trump chose to go that route, (hard to prove voter fraud), but know that MOST who supported and still support him don't believe he was trying to overthrow the government. There were very few, less than a thousand nitwits who decided to protest violently. They weren't peaceful, nor are they patriots.

They are right where they belong. In jail. I have no pity for them, and neither does Trump. If the NG was summoned like Trump wanted, the protests would have never gotten out of control. Put the blame where it belongs. Trump wanted the National Guard to be there. He also told the people at his rally to remain patriotic and peaceful.

Sick of the left's lies regarding the above. You should be too.

Is he running? People are supporting him for the same reason they supported him in 2016 and 2020. He's not the DC do business as usual swamp. Why aren't you listening to what he is selling instead of pretending he is selling nothing?

"We love you, you're very special". It sure sounded like he had a lot of sympathy for them on 1/6.
