Exactly right. He has a base that will never leave him, no matter what, and difficulty convincing anyone else.

The problem with Trump is he never tried to expand his base. He seemed satisfied with only the people that got him into office. His vote percentage in 2016 46.1% and in 2020 46.9% shows little improvement. His drop from 46% of the independent vote in 2016 down to 41% in 2020 shows his lack of interest in appealing to more folks than just his base. Trump’s max ceiling is in the 46% range. He has very loyal followers, supporters which probably means if he were to run in 2024, he’d still receive only around 46% of the total vote.

The bottom line with Trump is that only republicans like him. The GOP being smaller of the two major parties must win the independent vote or lose the election. Independents in general dislike Trump and as history has shown, folks usually won’t vote for someone they dislike.

Trump raid: What's the Biden/Garland Weaponize Federal Law Enforcement Against Their most Powerful Political opponent:

    Two old desperate corrupt fools.

"The FBI doesn’t just go to a federal judge for a search warrant for the home of a former president on its own — and presumably a federal judge doesn’t just casually sign off on such a request, either. This had to have gotten approved by Attorney General Merrick Garland prior to the raid on Mar-a-Lago."

"It’s no small matter to get a federal judge to sign off on a warrant, let alone one targeting a former president who is running for office next cycle. That should, set off all sorts of red flags for a judge."

"Raiding the home of a former president of the opposing party to the current administration is an unprecedented act. It is guaranteed to blow up the political equilibrium and create backfire in several different directions. Tossing that gasoline into the current political fire just to force the return of some documents would be very strange indeed."

"Not to mention self-destructive. Republicans who might have felt a little complacent riding a red wave in November have suddenly gotten angry and energized all over again and are accusing Garland and Joe Biden of conducting a political vendetta, and of setting a precedent they will not enjoy living under:"

"House Republicans are considering creating something like the Church Committee, which investigated a broad range of governmental misconduct by intelligence agencies during the mid 1970s. That select Senate panel, chaired by the late Sen. Frank Church (D-Idaho), was tasked with looking into “illegal, improper or unethical activities” by any government agency."

"Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), ranking member on the House Judiciary Committee demanded that Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray meet with lawmakers to explain the reasons for the raid. The House will be in session on Friday to vote on the Democrats’ reconciliation bill."

“Merrick Garland, Chris Wray, come to the House Judiciary Committee this Friday and answer our questions about this action today, which has never happened in American history. What was on the warrant? What were you really doing? What are you looking for? Why not talk to President Trump and have him give you the information you’re after? This is unbelievable.”

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) suggested President Joe Biden “is playing with fire by using a document dispute to get the @TheJusticeDept to persecute a likely future election opponent.”

“One day what goes around is going to come around.”

"Until we see the warrants and the inventory of materials produced, we won’t grasp exactly what the DoJ had in mind with this raid. It had better be something big enough to justify the banana-republic tactics taken last night."

We can't determine what's up until we see the inventory of what was seized.

Being found to be frequently wrong doesn’t make you stupid. It just makes you…wrong.

Strangely, in primary season, this is about the only thread on page 1 that goes to actual politics, so I'll post here..

This might be an interesting endorsement call for T****.... a standard MAGA call versus a hot girl candidate....

We'll see which Donald makes this endorsement.... Big Don or (very) Little Don

Good Luck Cara... I know she'll immediately be dismissed as just a "beauty queen", but she's Harvard Law and awaiting her bar results in ND (which I assume means there was drinking involved in ND)

It takes people like this willing to run in a wildly Talibanish state that might eventually turn the tide...

Rogue DOJ/FBI are handing Trump re-election.

Rogue Dems raid their likely GOP opponent.

CAN’T ANYBODY THERE PLAY THIS GAME? The White House Response to the Mar-a-Lago Raid Was a Disaster.

"White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre answered press questions for the first time since the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago on Monday, and… well… it did not go well."

She should resign, she is being asked to defend the indefensible and it's impossible.

"First, Jean-Pierre played dumb (or dumber than usual) in response to a question about when Joe Biden “found out” about the raid. “Can you tell us anything more?” a reporter asked. “Was he watching the news? Was he scrolling Twitter? Did someone in his staff flag it for him?” She gave a nervous, stammered response. “I can tell you this: he was not uh, aware of, of, of, uhh of… of… of the uh… what is it, the Mar-a-Lago raid? I don’t know what you guys are calling it—uh, uh… before it happened.”

"Not very convincing, was it? But her worst moment was when Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy addressed the raid in a series of questions, eventually asking the money question: “Is this White House weaponizing the Justice Department and the FBI against political opponents?”

"It was a simple yes or no question, yet Jean-Pierre launched right into boilerplate. “The President has been very clear, uh, from before he was elected, very clear on this—”

"Doocy, not letting her filibuster, asked her the question again, and she did not say “no.”'

“Is this administration weaponizing the Justice Department and the FBI against political opponents?” Doocy asked.

She refused "to not deny that the Biden administration is weaponizing the Justice Department and FBI against political opponents."

She may be too honest to defend these liars.

Unfortunately today social media dictates the way people think, and the worthless POLITICIANS know this and accept donations from the very few very, very rich who control social media.

It's a very sad world we live in today where so many are manipulated and won't bother to put their phone down and pay attention to reality.
Case in point: Go to anyone's recent activity and you can see some spend all day on this forum. How can you grasp reality if your staring at a phone, iPad, computer, or whatever and not observing the real world around you?
