You can't honestly be saying that with a straight face while claiming Trump would be a good choice.

Bernie will have no power once in office. Even the Democrats aren't stupid enough to enact the ideas Bernie has, otherwise, they already would have. To do so, would be political suicide and the Dems know it.

I'm not saying that Trump is "a good choice." I'm merely saying that he is the lesser of two evils. I support Rand Paul and Ted Cruz. Other than that, I don't see a good candidate anywhere else.

Obama had enough power to push Obamacare until it passed and use executive action on illegal immigration. He has expanded the powers of the executive branch, so I wouldn't be so sure about a hypothetical Sanders Administration having no power.

He's using executive action less than any recent American president of either party.

His action on immigration has been a minimal subset of what was in the bi-partisan immigration reform bill that passed the Senate and would have passed the House if it had been put to a vote.

Because of these actions and with no help from congress, the US illegal population has decreased and then remained steady at about 1M less than the peak number - a DRAMATIC change from the rapid growth of the previous 15 years.

With some help from the "just say no" GOP, there are several other key measures in that bi-partisan reform bill that would be reducing this problem today.

All we're seeing is GOP partisan refusal to cooperate - even when THEY have been key contributors to the central features of the bill.

I'm voting for Sanders, and if it's Hillary vs. Trump, I'm voting Trump, Hillary vs. anyone else, I'm writing in Sanders.

A troll has a purpose too. When it gets to the 'obvious troll is obvious' status then it has become an abject failure.

But Sanders is? You voted for him in the poll, so I assume you think so. Why would libertarians vote for a socialist, again?

in reality I will vote the same as I have done since 2004, Libertarian. However if I had to choose it would be Trump. I can see Sander's appeal to the young and dumb though, 40 years ago I would have been volunteering for Sanders. I think Trump is exactly what we need for this country to survive, 8 years of Bush idiocy followed by 8 years of Obama idiocy is a lot for a country to bear. It sure as hell can't take 4 years of Cawtuh on steroids so Trump would at least get the economy back on track. The country is a business, makes sense for a businessman to run it.

    No, of course not.

Then you would be making an extremely mistaken assumption.

I wouldn't. Perhaps you missed the topic. I'm voting for Johnson, as I've told you in more than one thread at this point. I don't support Sanders, which I've also told you in more than one thread at this point. The OP wants to know, if forced at gunpoint, which I would vote for. So I answered. If he had asked me if I would rather die from burning or drowning, and those were my only two choices, I would choose drowning. Because this is purely theoretical exercise, as the OP has stated repeatedly. In real life, I would prefer not to die by either means. In real life, I will not be voting for either of these candidates.

Neither align with my libertarian views on economics, so no, economics has nothing to do with my choice in this (again) completely theoretical scenario. I'd vote for Sanders, if I had to make a choice under the threat of death, over Trump because Trump is the more authoritarian of the two choices.

I'd also vote for a (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) over a turd sandwich if I had no other choice but to vote. Since I do have a choice, this exercise exists purely for its entertainment value.

Your assumptions are based on the two party establishment and the bizarre notion that everyone else ascribes to that as their political basis.

Nope, I'm on the right, and I really don't think Trump is far to the right of Bernie. I go for Bernie in the artificial forced vote, because I want the ruination of the country to be by a socialist democrat (Sanders) rather than a liberal democrat in Republican clothing (Trump). Either would be disastrous. As I said, in real life, I vote third party if Trump or Sanders are the major party choices. (actually if Trump is the Republican nominee, I vote third party).

Yeah, I'll still be turning out for the Republican primary, as I have in past elections, but I'll be voting third party in the actual election.

Trump because he'd make America great again! His broad policies make perfect sense in providing opportunity instead of handouts.

America is not the place for socialism, it was build on limited govt and individual freedoms. There should be at least one place on the planet with those principles.

Neither of them could or would do any more damage than the Bush's, Clinton or Obama. Trump is a clownish blowhard but I would definitely vote for him against Clinton or Bush. Bernie would stand little or no chance of getting his agenda accomplished because of the critical mass of whores on both sides of the aisle in Congress. I like the fact that Trump seems to be against the criminal trade deals shoved up our collective asses by Bush, Clinton and advanced by Obama. I also like the fact that Trump is against these idiotic decades long wars which were championed by Both the Clintons and the Bush's. Too bad he sticks his foot in his mouth and acts like a typical Long Island blow hard ********. I like the fact that Bernie calls out the crooked bank scum percentage swindlers for what they are and would at least try to even the playing field.

Sanders? The guy who said global warming is responsible for terrorism? Why the hell would I vote for him.

I'm voting for Trump and if ti comes down to Trump vs Sanders in the general, Trump will beat Bernie like a redheaded stepchild.

our little poll is handing the White House to Sanders even with Trump ahead, this microcosm display is quite telling, all the intense hate and ignorant insanity fails next to an honest but little known cranky old frumpy yankee commie who actually gives a damn about this country
I didn't think that would ever happen

I admit that I am a socialist. At the same time, I'm not sure socialism can ever work? But even if it's impossible to make socialism work, I just want to vote socialist to look at the top1%, the Establishment and Wall Street and say "Fcck You!" put some fear into them, make them believe if they don't lookout for the middle class we'll come at them like it's RUSSIA1919! Lynch their families, take their stuff and move the homeless into their penthouses. Thing is, you can't vote to agree with people that own you, or they'll own you even more. Anybody heard of a bluff, or negotiation, or you just prefer to say "thank you sir, may I have another!":roflol:!

Yup, they are both better than anyone the DNC or RNC would approve of! Monied interests want BOTH of them out, they want someone on the take, like WALL STREET WHORE Hillary or Cruz or Bush, someone they OWN and are direct supervisors to.

I would not vote for either one. I would simply put a write in candidate or vote third party when I vote.

Indeed there will be other choices but that's not what I'm asking.

So go ahead and choose. Or depart.
