How can anyone disagree?

MLK was a patriot who loved his country.

 

The truth is a beautiful thing.

 

Saying that he supports some of the Republicans voting for Civil Rights is not the same thing as saying he is a devout Republican. When are you going to address his criticisms of BOTH parties? When are you going to address that you're still using a claim that was recanted SIX YEARS AGO as proof that he was a Republican?

 

Are you claiming that MLK was too stupid to understand how trend-lines function? Because just because some people in this country like to look at only the immediacy doesn't mean that we're all that blinded by the here and now.

 

Socialists would be against his platform.

 

Democrat policies have been destroying the black family since the 1960's.

He was very smart...that's why he'd be thrilled at how Trump was able to reverse the Obama admin's legacy of high unemployment for African-Americans.

The War on Poverty, was merely the left's way of making sure African-Americans were poor, and dependent on Govt....it was modern day slavery. Also don't forget Biden and Clinton's Crime bill of 1994 that ensured African Americans families would be locked away from each other for decades.

He was a man of the church...lots of preachers, priest etc seem anti-capitalist, but in fact are very conservative. Religion isn't welcome in socialism

 

It had nothing to do with "seeming", he was incredibly outspoken against capitalism and declared himself to be a socialist numerous times. The fact that you guys are completely in the dark about this, but somehow claim that you just know he'd agree with you today is downright feeble.

 

I'm astounded at how much the Trump supporters here know about MLK. Without that tweet and Trump's appearance, would we be having this conversation? Sheesh.

That is not uncommon views from people of the Church. I know he'd be thrilled at the record low unemployment for African-Americans that we currently have. He'd be thrilled the President's policies have helped them so much. Not to mention the First Step Act, which undid a lot of the damage created by Biden and Clinton's crime bill.
