The surest way I can think of to turn a low risk county into a high risk one is to go back to business as usual before it's safe to do so. Bumfuk Idaho doesn't count- no one live there.

On the other hand, waiting until it's absolutely, perfectly safe is the surest way to guarantee there's no business, and no usual, to go back to.

The government's money machine can't go BRRRRRRR forever.

I live here tyvm. And the nearest county that has the virus to where I live is two counties away. The ones with the highest count of the virus is all in the liberal part of Idaho near Boise. I see no reason that the county I live in should not get back to work.

OK fair enough, I see how that message was perceived. But I meant it as Trump would use the map as a political messaging point, not that he would create the map himself.

If you'd think for a half second, it doesn't make much sense to lock down tiny communities. Right?

Sorry, the globalist "one size fits all" fallacy is not any more effective and wise here than it has proven to be generally. Our primary form of government is a Constitutional Republic consisting of sovereign states, not some indefinite gray oatmeal mass despite how fervently leftists wish for that.

Only a moron or Complex liar would ever try to shoehorn such "one size fits" across the whole country.

It depends on how they are classifying the counties. If it's by population, then sure. I could change my mind on that though - I might be wrong.
I seriously doubt trumps map will be based on pop density though because those low risk areas don't contribute much to the economy - there are not many businesses operating from those places.

If they are lower population and no cases or very few why continue a lock down order?

Perhaps read the actual letter instead of "guessing"

This is what we envision: Our expanded testing capabilities will quickly enable us to publish criteria, developed in close coordination with the Nation’s public health officials and scientists, to help classify counties with respect to continued risks posed by the virus. This will incorporate robust surveillance testing, which allows us to monitor the spread of the virus throughout the country. Under these data-driven criteria, we will suggest guidelines categorizing counties as high-risk, medium-risk, or low-risk.

With each passing day, our increasingly extensive testing capabilities are giving us a better understanding of the virus and its path. As testing gives us more information about who has been infected, we are tracking the virus and isolating it to prevent further spread. This new information will drive the next phase in our war against this invisible enemy.

    Like how?

No matter what is done no matter what is said it's always attack Trump on your part. This is a good idea to help localize outbreaks and plan how to deal with them.

That's a Fox brainwashing right there. You don't know **** about New York and you couldn't be more wrong. The only man who qualifies as the most selfish man that ever lived is New Yorker Donald Trump. And by the way, he's intensely reviled in the city of New York. They know a racketeer when they see one.

Go on ya'll 'country folk', go ahead and throw a corona party and send a middle finger to NY as you're partying. Let's see how much God will protect your sorry, ignorant asses from this virus.

It doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is how can they attack Trump.

The same way that he has spent the last several days attacking New York, Washington, and Michigan Governors while Praising West Virginia's.

If you think this is a good idea, then you'll need to explain to me why you believe this virus is going to obey City limits.

    "Suddenly"?

That link is 11 days old.:bored:

Anyway, that whole "classify by county" thing is a complete Non-Starter.

(And one of the most IDIOTIC ideas that I have ever heard).

^And based on the Idiocy that spews From Trump's IMBECILIC Brain, that is a high bar.

After the governors of New York, Washington and Michigan falsely attacked him for their own problems why shouldn't he point it out but like how would he use the CDC county map to political advantage everyone will have the same access to it.

Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa, for example, are as different as night is from day compared to New York, and should do things differently than NY.

Except, the map is a complete Non-Starter if anybody thinks that it can be used to open some counties and not others.

Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and some other states should just go back to work as whole states.

Iowa should post the National Guard on bridges and not let people from Illinois pass over the Mississippi, nor allow Iowans to go to Illinois.
