So let's see if I've got this right then: there are the two finalist candidates for POTUS, one without experience, and the other with experience but with a proven record of abject failure in office: but according to you the latter would be a better bet than to give the former an opportunity? Right, gotcha! :wall: With that kind of reasoning predominant (and on this messageboard it sure seems to be predominant?), I fear for the United States of America!!

New York Times cite crowd experts who say the women's march had three times as many people as the Trump inauguration.

I believe this is indisputable by Trump's "alternative facts" lies.

No, you've got it wrong. Please let me enlighten you. "Trump is the first president to have neither experience in government, nor in the military," is a fact, not a Trumpie "alternative fact", known to most folks as a "lie." My accurate observation clearly makes no reference to "alternative candidates" - not even ones that earn the votes of nearly three million more Americans that may get Trumpies very pissy. Their fixation with any other candidates in no way informs upon my observation that, "Trump is the first president to have neither experience in government, nor in the military."

The knowledge that I have imparted to you in reference to Trump's unique presidency, - having had no experience in government or the military - may or may not be an excuse for his petty snit concerning the paucity of attendees at his debutante cotillion. If he needs to fantasize that there were "thousands and thousands" more than there actually were - as a matter of fact, not of "alternative" fact - they may have followed him down from New Jersey.

His temper tantrump might have been more appropriate for one or several of his chronic hissytweets, but bragging about the imaginary proportions of his audience whilst standing in front of the wall that pays tribute to CIA agents who sacrificed their lives for our nation was especially unfortunate.

If he had had experience in government or in the military, he may have known enough to suppress his bloated ego, in deference to the priorities of the nation.

Yes. What is it about Trump's supporters that they feel that lie after lie after lie, is acceptable-even to be condoned, apparently? Are they as stupid as he is?

My temperate and cogent response to an inquiry may sound like "whining" to you because your cult status has accustomed you to such a form of discourse.

In reality, there was nothing plaintive about it, of course.

I don't remember Black lies Matter shutting down entrance gate after entrance gate to Obama's inauguration.

These things are not set up to allow folks to walk right in, there is a line, much like at the airport. Where everyone is checked in and processed for security reasons. If, there were less folks on the mall, at the time of the inauguration, then I guess BLM succeeded in disrupting the event.

Comparing this inauguration, to ones past, is like comparing apples to oranges......

As a successful businessman, Trump has much to learn about optics and the media. Foxconn just made a statement about the probability of investing 7 billion in an American plant to produce video displays and employ many US workers. But...... Trump sends out his Press Secretary to argue attendance numbers at the inauguration. Silly. Politically, Trump is still a rookie.

I suspect the people being hired by Foxconn don't give a crap about the number of people on the National Mall. I don't.

For Trump's cultists, his "alternative truth" designed to stroke their messiah's ego is truth. Objective reality is worthless if it does not please their lord and master.

Indicative of the esteem in which truth is now to be held, having repeatedly promised to come clean with his tax returns like every other presidential nominee since Nixon, the Novelty Act now raises a wee middle finger to the American people who demand that he honour his word:

We must therefore conclude that President Sociopath has skeletons in the closet he would prefer remain hidden. What other explanation could there possibly be?

It seems entirely reasonable to infer that Trump violating his repeated promise to abide by the tradition of transparency is not a frivolous whim. To lie so conspicuously must be motivated by a compelling reason.

Meanwhile, as a symbol of how proponents of freedom of the press who promulgate "reality" as opposed to approved "alternative reallity" will be punished, rumour has it that all Trump's designated mouthpieces are being issued Trump® nutcracker uniforms:

It was odd that neither the WH Spokesman nor Priebus produced an image of the crowd during Trump's speech. Those of us who were able to freeze frame crowd shots at that time saw that the crowd was far larger then than when the ceremony began. And far larger than the images displayed by the MSM later - including Fox. Wallace offered an image of Obama's crowd during his speech and one taken before Trump had been sworn in.

This going world wide has made the USA a laughing stock. An emergency briefing to the press about "my crowd is bigger than yours was". Spicer made it sound like a major armed conflict is going to be declared, no doubt after the orders given from Trump.

Donald Trump’s inauguration ratings were the second-highest in 36 years, according to Nielsen.

The swearing-in of the 45th president was seen by 30.6 million viewers across 12 networks.

The only inauguration over the last three decades that tops Trump’s number in the linear ratings? Barack Obama’s first inauguration back in 2009, which had a record-setting 37.8 million viewers. So Trump was down from the last new president to take office.

But before that, to get an Inauguration Day number this high, you’d have to go all the way back to Ronald Reagan in 1981, who was seen by 41.8 million viewers (Nielsen released tracking for inauguration ratings back to 1969).
And actually, Trump could have been seen by more viewers than either Obama or Reagan. Nielsen ratings do not account for online viewing, which has grown sharply in recent years and is far more commonplace than even four years ago.

That's why presidents and prime ministers etc have advisers? Nobody can know everything - although some of us come fairly close.

(or 'pretty' close as we have to say these days? )

You misunderestimate my patience. Try to focus: "Trump is the first president to have neither experience in government, nor in the military," is a simple statement of fact, not a rhetorical extravagance.

You need to brush up on your bushisms.

Trump is the first president to have neither experience in government, nor in the military. His narcissistic personality disorder compels him to fantasize about vast numbers of imaginary people at his debutante's ball, and millions of them voting for his opponent. Neither delusion is of any substantive import to the nation, but both are vital to his fragile, bloated ego.

Oh it was a bushism then? Right! As to your critique of the great man - I don't know what he'd make of you, but I know what I make of you. Enough said, lest I find myself the subject of an infraction.
