I commemorate the 43rd POTUS for his wanton abuse of the English language. Yes, he absconded from office with a dismal assessment by the American people (33% approval/66% disapproval) - largely attributable to his contriving a multi-trillion dollar war on fraudulent pretexts and leading the nation into financial collapse, but his primacy as an adroit verbal stumblebum will endure. In dramatic contrast, his successor is accorded far more favourable exiting numbers (59% approval/37% disapproval) but his locutions were stodgily pedestrian and blandly lawyerly by comparison. The current Novelty Act may dismantle Obama's legacy, but he can't touch the Dubya's frolicsome oratory.

 

By all best estimates the statement is true. Notice Spicer said "audience...... around the globe" not "crowd" which is the word used by all the malcontents.

The crowd which was very large by the time Trump spoke was reduced by BLM which blocked access to checkpoints.
