Once again, CNN’s anonymous sources turn out to be 100% accurate.

 

He is not being charged for the stuff he took, but then turned over voluntarily.

He is being charged for the stuff he hid from the DOJ. Obstructing them. Refusing to honor the subpoena. The top secret stuff that he acknowledged he had not declassified, then showed to people without clearance.

 

This is an absurd argument that you're trying to make. You're suggesting someone should be locked up because of documents that are classified as illegal, even though they easily had the power to make those documents legal but just never got around to it during the time they had that power.
That could technically be construed as being against the law, but it seems like an overly literal and capricious interpretation of the law. There doesn't even seem to really be much point to that.

He was showing Secret documents to a journalist. He admitted that he knew he didn't have the authority to just use his mind to declassify documents but had to follow procedure, the same procedure he used for declassifying the Crossfire Hurricane secret files

MAGA cries “fake news”.

Several days or weeks or months later the story is confirmed. By then, MAGA crowd has already moved on to screaming fake news about the next story. That also turns out to be true.
