So Trump wanted to hear his advisors tell him it would not be a good idea to activate the military to enforce martial law? Is that what they told him because they knew that is what he wanter to hear?

After nearly an entire year of rioting and antifa thugs trying to burn down a Federal Courthouse night after night, Trump did nothing more than send US Marshalls to protect the courthouse. He called on Governors to mobilize their National Guard to quell riots, but never did anything at all to warrant speculation that he somehow has an iron fist. More fake news.

 

When has Trump ever been subtle? He was stoking the fire of civil unrest when he was claiming voter fraud before Election Day. His favorite pastime is creating chaos and division.

Actually yes. His first instinct is "dictator like", as in, he doesn't think about law as being a guideline. He is also a narcissist. Trump has to be at the center of everything. You can't deny these things. Unfortunately for him, there are others in the government who took their oath seriously, and at some points had to basically tell him that they would say "no" to some of his ideas. Of course, they don't want to do that, so they have figured out to derail some of Trumps worst ideas. He appears to me to be easy to manipulate. I mean c'mon, watch a couple of episodes of "The Apprentice" and tell me it ain't true! He's the reality show, "Donald Trump goes to Washington". He says he hates the media, but he LOVES them, as long as they serve his agenda, but even if not, as long as they are talking about him.

That's fine, do just that. I have before said I'll eat humble pie if proven wrong, for example when I predicted the fallout between Fauci and Trump long before it happened. It would be surprising for Democrats to be self-critical at this time, considering that a vast majority of voters have just elected Joe Biden at least until 2024....

Unmarked vans, unmarked, unidentified agents snatching citizens off the street for no reason, never identifying themselves, unlawful search and seizures, unlawful detainment and then dumping citizens miles from where they were snatched with no charges and no explanations.
Think about that, if that had been done to the wannabe's that stormed the capital in MI, how much of a FIT would the rightists be having right now months later?

That is not true. The first few days they were completely unmarked. Once that was pointed out they added a very small number, which meant nothing to anyone not in LE.

I said earlier that Trump wants to be careful not being seen as the instigator of civil unrest.
That kind of treasonous behavior could put him in jail for a long time.
That's why he has been, shall we say, restrained in his language.
'Stand back and stand by'.

So I think, if Trump plans a revolt as a means to stay in power, he might wait as long as possible.
Perhaps until only days before Biden's inauguration.

If civil unrest fails to materialise he can still flee the White House in his helicopter.
But if Trump calls for it NOW, and it fails, his goose is cooked. And he might only leave the White House in a prison van.
