Better still, let's put Democrats on the committee under oath. Congress has no authority whatsoever to interrogate the president. Nor does he have to tell any story because Comey did not even allege any illegal conduct by the President, though Comey did lie and only people in total denial of reality deny he did.

Comey gave a sobbing and emotional reason he worked up in conspiracy with Mueller as to his motive for releasing the memo. He had is was in response to a specific tweet and an press article. He said for that he felt he had to in defense of himself and the F.B.I.

But Comey and Mueller FORGOT TO LOOK AT A CALENDAR. Trump's tweet and the newspaper story did not happen until the day AFTER. So Comey and Mueller had concocted a total lie seeking sympathy and Comey told that lie in great emotional detail.

ONLY people in total denial of reality or who are EXTRA STUPID do not recognize if you state you did something for a specific reason - and that reason did not even exist yet - is a calculated, deliberate liar - and in Comey's case a perjurer.

No one is going to be prosecuted. As Comey explained, if you are an official you can break any laws and can not be prosecuted unless it can be proven you were deliberately breaking the law for the purpose of breaking the law. All that is going on now is Mueller and his lawyer pals are pocketing millions and millions of dollars for themselves personally. They will never offer proof of anything, but instead will continue with "I can't give you evidence because it's secret, but believe me when I say it was the Russians."

 

Is that the right wing talking point today? Because it sounds really dumb and no one with any sense buys it.

 

No, let's put President Trump under oath. You said Comey lied. The "Democrats on the committee" wouldn't know that or not. There were only 2 people in the room - President Trump made sure of that. Him, and Director Comey. That's it. So if Comey lied, there is only one person who would know that. Let's put that person under oath. That's President Trump.

You're making accusations that Comey committed a crime. You have to prove it. That's what the Constitution requires. I know Trump and most of his supporters have no clue what's in the Constitution, but a lot of the rest of us do.

 

Nobody paying attention doubts it. Comey's testimony changed from what he leaked before Trump made the tapes tweet. Comey got played by a Washington newbie. How embarrassing for him.

 

Comey panicked and committed perjury, plus made an ass of himself. Comey's reputation vanished in the hearing. He also implicated Obama's AG Lynch in obstruction of justice.

Comey's lie was the reason he gave for leaking the memo - and the reason he gave didn't even exist until the next day. What excuse do you have for him telling that lie?

Democratic members of the committee have made fact accusations against the President and staff, but offer no evidence. They should be called to testify as to what evidence they have - and if they have any way are they hiding it? If not, why are they lying?

Its a stupid claim. Comey said Trump was lying when Trump said Comey was doing a bad job. Comey was being a typical disgruntled malcontent fired employee.

Pelosi and Schumer should be called a witnesses to testify to their saying on-record that Comey was doing bad job - unless of course you claim Pelosi and Schumer - and 100 other Democrats making the claim - also are all liars too - that EVERY Democratic member of Congress are ALL liars, and ONLY Comey - caught lying in his testimony - is telling the truth.

So, for the record, on Comey's testimony, you concede that virtually all Democrats in Congress are liars when they said Comey was not doing a good job, correct?

Once again, since you missed it the first time. If you have evidence that Comey lied under oath, it's up to you to prove it. That's what the Constitution requires. If you don't have any proof that he lied under oath, you are making it up. This isn't hard.

The calendar proves nothing. This has been discussed repeatedly on here. Just because Trump's lawyer lied and screwed up doesn't mean you have to sappily repeat his lie like a damn parrot.
