    Wall Street wasn't given anything.

They were allowed to KEEP more of their OWN money.

Nah this is more similar to having a child's conversation:

Tell ya what, I'll let you know when I start a thread about which crayons taste the best. I'm sure you can contribute like a big boy then.

For the 40 elevendieth time, a tax break does not increase the deficit. Spending more than revenue creates a deficit.

Much like your assertion that the Dems want to cut taxes for the poor and middle class, despite the fact they have never done so.

Everything that could be cut is labeled a safety net program. If we cut study funds for the reproduction habits of the beavers in Wyoming, we are labeled as some hate group.

Something tells me you are not high enough in a corp to understand how taxes affect decisions.

spending is pretty much fixed. Slashing revenues (tax cuts) cause a budget deficit.

    Basic math, and basic Econ.

The true sign of a statistical manipulation is the use of a rate of a cumulative total. I mean, Obama only increased the debt in 8 years by 68% of the previous 200+ years' total. We are better than this image.

I don't make over 250k. I'm like the majority of Americans. And how have these corporate tax cuts helped? Stock buy backs. No higher wages. No new jobs.

No link in the OP to support your claim?

Sounds like this belongs in the Opinions section.

That aside, I take it you'll be advocating:

    1) Making the current middle class tax cuts permanent
    2) Expanding the current middle class tax cuts (and making them permanent)
    3) Cutting spending to off-set the tax cuts

Or are you advocating the only thing Democrats ever support which are tax hikes and continued over-spending?

It's how it's calculated. You can't use pure dollar amounts to compare 30-40 years of spending. The values are different. You can only compare the percentages. Reagan and Bush were WAY worse than Obama. And neither of them had to deal with the worst recession in 80 years. Bush actually inherited a budget surplus, that he quickly squandered.

You have that backwards. Simple econ/accounting/business policy dictates that expenses are the only thing that can cause a shortfall. Also, spending is not fixed except for service of the debt.

Incoming revenue means nothing? Lack of revenue can cause a shortfall as well. Is there something wrong with you?

"Stock buy backs" were sold as the boogy man to you guys, lol. You don't even know how it effects the economy. It was packaged in a neat little envy filled talking point, and you guys parade around with it like you've cracked some code.

Who exactly owns the stock that is being bought back? Is there capital gains on that income from the sellers? Also, you are still thinking that the ultimate goal is job creation in what, 6 months, lol. The corp tax rate decrease was by far the only part of this bill that was done right. It should have went to zero.

Nope. Budgetary items are legislated, and mandatory. So the budget surplus or deficit is directly related to revenues. Republicans moronically slash revenue, and cause HUGE deficit and debt increases. They do it every time they are in power, despite 40 years of data showing it doesn't work.

Well, it works for what is intended, which is welfare for the rich.

So, now a tax cut is corporate welfare? You do realize that high corporate rates were the source of most corruption.
