There's a Stó:lō reserve near Fort Langley that has been successful for many years. Good leadership.

I doubt you understand how time works ?

Defense spending rising pre dates trump bein president so how can he be responsible.

It really doesnt matter that stoltenberg was sucking up to trump, facts remain what they are : NATO countries spend more without trump being president or even talking about it.

Canada's entire economy is a a tiny fraction of ours and we buy 75% of what they sell. We can squash them like a bug if we want. For many decades now America has given every piss ant country in the world a good deal and these countries have grown and prospered largely due to our benevolence. Now that they are on firm ground they are going to have to put big boy pants on and conduct trade with us in a more equal manner. I realize it's a hard thing to grow up and be an adult but you are going to have to do just that. Americas worldwide trade policies are becoming the death of a 1000 cuts and we have to stop the bledding

You can keep repeating that doesnt change the facts. I know you seem to like those alternative facts but they are still plain BS. The facts of the matter are what they are and they show a increase before trump got involvde.
These facts wont change no matetr what trump or Stoltenberg claims.

Having said that, you've just admited that you don't want equal trade. Once again, the only acceptable deal for you is an unconditional surrender. You're employing the same argument that the nazi used against Poland. Good thing the brown shirted wannabe that'll never amount to anything in their lives beside trolling and flamebaiting on internet forums will never have any power themselves.

Death of a thousand cuts while having a trade surplus, oh the infamy!

Not really all you can do is bring serious hatm to both US & canadian economy.

Thats simply not true, for decades the US has always acted in its own intrest in everything. Quite normal for a country.

Name me 1 deal that was so bad for US intrests .

Yeah you do know that simplistic world view trump advcocates isnt real?If it was real then where are the better deals trump is supposed to make?

reality is that this was a line to get votes, he doesnt want fair trade, case in point is with the EU. They proposed to get rid of 90-95% of all tarrifs and still trump refused .
Why? Well he wants to milk this until he is re-elected of course.

Where exactly did I say I don't want equal trade? Maybe you are referring to our trade surplus?

NAFTA quadrupled US exports created several million jobs, added 0.5% to yearly GDP growth and lowered prices for consumers.

So how is that bad for the US?

NAFTA did not do what you claim but thanks for the official canned response.
US jobs were lost and US wages were suppressed. Manufacturing went overseas and there really was a "giant sucking sound".

Thats simply no true. The US in general benefited greatly from NAFTA. Every study on the matter shows this.

Facts are that exports and certainly exports to mexico and canada went up

    Reality :

Look at that nice upward trend from begin 90's when nafta was introduced and know that exports to nafta countries went up several times more then to the rest of the world.

Unfortunately for you people that don't see it your way prevailed in the last election and voted in a NAFTA opponent. Better luck next time.

    Trolling confirmed.

Here's what the pro-U.S. Toronto Star had to say about life after NAFTA. LINK

Here's what RBC, Canada's largest bank, says about NAFTA. LINK

"It is notoriously difficult to estimate the impact of trade disruptions on GDP growth. Nonetheless, our estimates suggest that a roughly 4% across-the-board increase in tariffs between Canada and the U.S. would reduce Canadian GDP growth by about 1% over 5 to 10 years. The implied annual impact of 0.1% to 0.2% might not appear all that large, but it adds up to a substantial amount of foregone production potential—about $20 billion (in today’s dollars) of annual output over time."
    Propaganda Alert!

The U.S. has goods and services deficits with only a few countries. Canada isn't one of them.

    Propaganda Alert!

How much damage will you Trumpites do to our long-term economic interests and well-being before you're sent packing?

I think you're a well-meaning dupe who wants what's best for everyday Americans. You're likely a product of the indifference of the oligarchy and their influential elites to the plight of average folks.

Equal manner? You dont appear to have a clue what its all about. YOu are merely sucking up trump's bullshit and arrogantly strutting around thinking some how the YOU embody American strength.

Never met a really tough bully. They all hide their fear and low self esteem behind bluster and bullshit.

Then again, since many trumpettes have determined that character no longer matters, I am not surprised they behave in exactly the same manner as Trump, thinking some how American greatness is manifest in their own small minds.

I certainly wont' make the mistake of assuming you are on topic in your responses.

And why should I continue a conversation with someone who calls me a troll because they are losing the debate! Goodbye
