Regardless of how you feel about my avatar (which is actually not the topic anydamnways) You are OK with a clearly partisan outfit who hires and defends a racist in their ranks "teaching" children? You would be OK with FOX doing the same? And they are clearly "teaching" white guilt, whites are bad...Not being blinded by partisanship, I can see indoctrination and I say let the educators and school officials set the curriculum NOT allow a partisan rag to raise the next generation of racist. But that's just me, you probably think it's a fine idea.

Mussolini was at least smart enough to resign when it started to fall apart. Might have survived if Hitler had not "rescued" him. Bonaparte should have stayed out of Russia.
Ditto Hitler. They just could not quit while they were ahead.

Just so we are clear (lest it disappear down the memory hole) this is someone who the NY Slimes not only did NOT fire but also DEFENDED. Wonder if her hand is in this? Hardly the ones to preach about "racism" in any form.

Speaking more to Bontaparte, he wasn't under any illusions that he could win the Battle of Waterloo. Rather it was a battle of his pride and vanity. He wanted to go out on his own terms and his men followed him, not because he asked or because he ordered them too. But because they wanted to. If we look at Bontaparte's life as an epic tale rather than just a military career, there's much to learn and respect about him.

I was right with you until the end. Kinda. The first two sentences contradict each other, though I agree with both to an extent, separately. But your tell at the end is glaring. Your words don't indicate support for states rights. They do indicate an uneasiness with the topic of race.

I have no problem with the DOE examining anything. Should they attempt to do something about this based on the examination, I will judge that based on the merits of whatever they might come up with.

Maybe you would support the "Dred Scott" decision being taught in a positive light?

Do you believe every meme on 8chan?

    https://www.newyorker.com/news/daily-comment/sarah-jeong-and-the-question-of-context

So it is OK for her to be harassed in the first place but not ok to mirror that language as a response?

You stick up for her? I'm not surprised. That's how NY Slime "justified" her blatant racism.

What is 8chan? She is a racist. And "white people" is a racist generality. Defending her is a fools errand. Do two wrongs make a right?

"Fighting" racism, by being a blatant racist.....SMDH

Here is what you are "justifying"

Oh man it’s kind of sick how much joy I get out of being cruel to old white men,” Jeong said in one tweet from 2014 that has since been deleted.

“Dumbass f---ing white people marking up the internet with their opinions like dogs pissing on fire hydrants,” Jeong said in another tweet from that year.

A third tweet posted by Jeong in 2014 said, “Are white people genetically predisposed to burn faster in the sun, thus logically being only fit to live underground like groveling goblins.”

Maybe. If I could find two opinion pieces on Dred Scott—one positive, one negative—I might use them both within a lesson. I’ve done so with more contemporary topics: pro-pipeline, pro-Native American, for example; oh yeah, I once showed 2 videos on North Korea after reading Anthem—one pro, one neg—to help students write a paper comparing Anthem culture with NK culture.

I am not comfortable with federal intrusion into education, though withholding funds is somewhat different from dictating curriculum or administration. Have you read the Democrat 2020 platform's manhandling of education, for example, withholding federal funds to charter schools that don't meet new federally imposed standards, and directing the teaching of global warming/CO2?

No, I had not, and it sounds, from your description, like it’s just as bad an offense to states’ rights as Trumps announcement.

I’d also be fine with just ending the financial support from the feds all-together, except that that money is needed. Parents and teachers are already being asked to provide too much supplies for their kids from their own pocket.

Withholding funds though is a little different and I think generally OK. I don't know the details but federal funding is specific and I think does not go toward classroom supplies. The 2020 platform that talks about withholding funds from charter schools doesn't really bother me because of the funding per se, but that it is focused and directed at charter schools specifically because they are predominately non-unionized -- has nothing to do with education.

State Rights doesn't equal Federal Funding. Many States ignored the Feds push for raising the drinking age to 21...that was their right...but that also met the Feds could without federal funds for roads

Much like the Obama Admin threaten Federal Funds for schools that didn't have transgender bathrooms https://time.com/4328917/transgender-bathroom-school-lgbt-obama/

    100% Wrong!

There was an IRONIC nomination AFTER he started WW2 which was meant as a joke.

Hitler had actually issued an ORDER that BANNED all Germans from ever receiving Nobel prizes after one of most outspoken critics had received one.

Hitler NEVER received any Nobel prize.
