Progressive journalist: MSNBC doesn't try to hide 'contempt' towards Gabbard

Progressive journalist Michael Tracey claimed Tuesday that MSNBC is has dropped all pretenses for their “contempt” towards Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii). The political news contributor said the left-leaning network has treated her fellow 2020 Democratic candidates, including businessman
Andrew Yang and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) unfairly, but he argued that with Gabbard it, “crosses a certain threshold.”

“Fundamentally they’re beholden to whatever the market incentives are and right now it’s within their market interests to depict Tulsi as an infiltrator, as a Trojan horse in the Democratic Party and not deal on the substance with what she’s saying which is why over and over again they tar her as a Russian plant essentially,” Tracey told Hill.TV.

Its odd seeing progressives figure out the MSM's bias.

Yeah, there I go fantasizing again. Well, I guess all politicians should look like fat, geriatric beasts... it makes it easier to hate them.

Too bad she is one of these liberal Democrats who wants to lavish welfare on illegal aliens. If she weren't I could consider her candidacy seriously.

You may want to rethink that a bit. The Democrats have learned a great lesson from 2016 and they take that lesson seriously. Change comes hard to some. Some never get it. That's life. Dems are still trying to live down the "deplorables" comment. The Dems have done a major restart and have renewed their focus on the working middle class while still representing minorities.

Their focus in the last two years of interim elections has been on health care, wages, immigration, and local issues. The result has been one election win after another. Currently, every poll, even FOX, has shown every top tier Democrat beats Trump decisively. And yes, history is important. Regrettably, few people seem to think so.

Im not seeing anything about learned lessons.

Many swing state voters who supported dems in the mid terms will vote for Trump again in 2020.

Dems have been pandering to minorities but its proving divisive-case in point is Biden's hispanic outreach (he told immigration activists to vote for Trump last week), and his hispanic outreach director just retired.

Bootygig has struggled with black support-but what is less known is that hispanic support is also down.

I can see the second happening but I'm not seeing the first. That Tulsi is getting flak for what she said seems to point to the fact that they haven't learned that lesson, at least from where I am. So I ask, completely without sarcasm or snark, where are you seeing this happen? How do you KNOW they learned anything in that regard?

    US Conservative is correct:

"Yet success in the midterms might not mean as much for Democratic presidential candidates as the party might think. Nearly two-thirds of voters in six battleground states who voted for President Trump in 2016 — but for Democratic congressional candidates in 2018 — say they intend to back the president against each of his top rivals, according to recent polling by The New York Times Upshot/Siena College."

Sure. The mid-term elections were a clear demonstration of Democratic focus on local issues, health care, wages, dignity of work, immigration, and other middle class concerns. That is why they achieved impressive wins.

If you on the Left could provide a Democrat candidate who isn't some kind of half-witted, wanna-be socialist who shills for "woke" bullshit like 'global warming', 'white privilege', and endless welfare for all the slugs and parasites -- including illegal aliens, then we in the Center-Right might be able to find something of merit in your offering.

Hint: go find a candidate somewhere in your ranks who is a reincarnation of John F. Kennedy and you'll win the White House (and probably all of Congress) for at least eight years!

In my lifetime we've had president that I consider "Great."
Eisenhower - Hell, Ike was a god
Kennedy - space, man on moon, national unity
Johnson - historical, not great - legislation historical, Viet Nam disaster
Reagan - partnered with Gorbachev to end the Cold War and demolish the USSR U.S -1 Russia - 0
Obama* - thwarted a second Depression, first African-American president

    * too early to tell.
