We've been at war with Iran for 20 yrs ... It's gone undeclared, but Iran destabilized Iraq, and escalated the war in Syria. Iran stupidly attacked Israel from Syria. Netanyahu is likely being restrained, not encouraged by Trump to escalate in Syria. Israeli commitment to preventing a nuclear Iran negates the need for US engagement.

The deal is not based on trust; it’s based on verification. The IAEA will have 24/7 access to Iran’s known nuclear facilities and will be closely monitoring Iran’s supply chain of nuclear materials, centrifuge production lines, and any purchases that might be used for a nuclear program. The deal also provides timely inspections to any undeclared facilities where suspected nuclear activity may be occurring. If Iran does cheat, they will be caught and sanctions will be re-imposed.

There are also aspects of the deal that Iran can’t easily undo. Iran must dismantle two-thirds of its installed centrifuges, remove 98% of its uranium stockpile, and permanently alter the Arak Plutonium reactor before it receives any relief from economic sanctions. These actions will be verified by the IAEA and will greatly increase the time it would take Iran to obtain weapons-grade nuclear material.

The deal goes to great lengths to buttress major points of the agreement. For example, the deal does not just put limitations on centrifuge production, it also puts limitations on rotor production, and on the machines that make the rotors. The subsidiary commitments that Iran has made for the agreement are truly impressive.

Rejecting this deal means no restrictions, no verification, and no inspections of Iran’s nuclear program. Even if Iran cheats, we’ll know far more about Iran’s nuclear activities than we do now. And that will mean that all of the alternatives—including the least desirable, military action—will be more effective.

Don't you get it, Donald Trump is literally Hitler. Every thing he does is wrong even if it's the direct opposite of what he did the day before because he isn't a democrat.

    Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Hmmmmmmmmm. Do you think, perhaps, Bush had something to do with destabilizing Iraq?

Spot on. Remember Raykjavic. The meeting with the Soviet Union that Reagan walked out on which began the end of the Cold War.

Iran’s economy is in trouble. Iran blamed its economic problems on the sanctions. When the sanctions were lifted Iran’s economy was still in a shambles. This is a significant problem for Irans leadership.

Europe punches back after Drumpf's Iran decision

    https://www.politico.com/story/2018/05/09/trump-iran-nuclear-europe-577552

BRUSSELS — European leaders on Wednesday began drawing up plans to preserve the Iran nuclear accord, in defiance of President Donald Drumpf's Tuesday decision to abandon what he called the "rotten" agreement.

The possible action includes legislation that would block Washington from punishing European companies that continue to do business with Iran. It reflects Europe’s deep frustration with Drumpf’s withdrawal from the 2015 deal despite the pleas of its top leaders.

Drumpf’s action has inflamed a transatlantic relationship already strained by his threat to impose tariffs on European products, along with his 2017 withdrawal from the Paris climate accord. The leaders of Britain, France and Germany spent months trying to convince Drumpf to sustain the Iran deal, which they helped to negotiate. In a Tuesday statement, former Secretary of State John Kerry, who spearheaded the nuclear talks, warned that it “isolates [the U.S.] from our European allies."

Drumpf’s move not only removes the U.S. from the nuclear pact but raises the specter of American sanctions on European companies that have embarked on business ventures in Iran.

On Wednesday, European leaders began to fight back.

The IAEA, in its most recent report in June, said Iran was meeting its obligations under the pact. Experts say inspectors rely on intelligence reports and other information to determine whether sites they have not visited are being used for potentially illicit purposes.

The fact that Iran was able to exert more influence in Iraq was due to Iraq's destabilization (thanks George). The coalition government failed for reasons other than just Iran.

    And guess what?

Bush set that up with his invasion.

Iraq was a cobbled together nation held together by a dictator. Just like Yugoslavia when Tito fell.

There was always going to divisions between Shia,Sunni, and Kurds

    Right.

I've posted this link numerous times.

The most recent report was not last June. The most recent report is are from February 22, 2018.

    https://www.iaea.org/sites/default/files/18/03/gov-2018-7-derestricted.pdf

    F. Summary

    27. The Agency continues to verify the non-diversion of declared nuclear material at the nuclear facilities and locations outside facilities where nuclear material is customarily used (LOFs) declared by Iran under its Safeguards Agreement. Evaluations regarding the absence of undeclared nuclear material and activities for Iran remained ongoing.
So the IAEA is inspecting only what Iran has declared, in places Iran has declared nuclear material is customarily used.

Further, evaluations of what Iran may not have declared remain "ongoing". What do you think that means?

And as I've provided links to multiple times, Iran continues to refuse access to military sites, and it plans to build more of these likely off limit sites as it gears up to build it's declared nuclear powered Navy.

So, care to discuss facts, or are you going to stick to your biased opinions?

Has the IAEA EVER declared a nation in violation of nuclear weapons development agreements?

Remember Iraq back in the early 1980s? Wasn't its nuclear reactor at Osriak in compliance with the IAEA right before Israel blasted it apart?

Since without falter you are wrong about every thing you speak about it must be a good move.

If out makes alt left nutters cry it is likely a good thing or at worst an irrelevant thing.

    Thanks for being a barometer.

Iraqs domestic political landscape has been tumultuous since the dawn of time. Husseins brutality was born of necessity. How many heavily armed factions have constantly fought for supremacy in Iraq? How much of Irans GDP is invested in conflict? They're a plague.

You forgot too underline and set in bold "The Agency continues to verify"

You seem to think that Iran has huge nuclear material mining sites where they can magically increase amount of raw materials needed for refinement to produce weapon grade nuclear material.

What would its compliance have to do with Israel blowing it up?

"The attack was strongly criticized around the world, including in the United States, and Israel was rebuked by the United Nations Security Council and General Assembly in two separate resolutions."

Iraq was never in a nuclear deal other than signing the nuclear non-proliferation treaty. hence no 24/7 inspections requirement was ever imposed on Iraq. All countries are allowed to build nuclear reactors
