Twitter Board Unanimously Recommends That Shareholders OK Elon Musk Takeover

Twitter’s board of directors revealed in a Schedule 14A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that it unanimously recommended that shareholders approve the transaction.

The board said in a letter to shareholders, included in the filing, that it “determined that the merger agreement is advisable and the merger and the other transactions contemplated by the merger agreement are fair to, advisable and in the best interests of Twitter and its stockholders. Twitter’s board of directors unanimously recommends that you vote ‘for’ the adoption of the merger agreement.”

And lo, did lefty heads detonate. Verily, the great host found itself unable to contain its self-righteous indignation and impotent rage. So let it be written, so let it be done.

I would consider myself somewhat to the "Left" on the political spectrum.
And, neither myself (or anyone that I know) even cares about the Musk/Twitter Deal.
We have no control over it, so why worry?

Musk is not a savior, he's an opportunist exploiting his effect on share price for attention.

 

The Twitter and Elon are not that special.

 

Elon has several hurdles before he can buy and lawsuits from stockholders.

 

Fake accounts didn't impact Twitter's value, Musk making a big (and often misleading) public noise about fake accounts did. It was almost as if he was trying to artificially push down the value of the company he was looking to buy.

 

Elon Musk was a hero to these liberals just a calendar year ago. The second he criticized the Democrats, made a deal on Twitter and came forth as a new Republican, he was public enemy number 1. These people are so laughably partisan.

 

I've never used Twitter. I can't figure how to get on. I also am afraid of using a program where I can basically end my quiet existence and maybe even go to jail because of one misplaced keystroke
