Tyranny has Won in Canada - The Truckers Have Lost

The resistance to insane government policies is not defeated by Canadian suppression of the trucker rallies, it’s only just begun. What seems impossible today eventually becomes inevitable.

"TORONTO, February 17, 2022—The results of a national survey released today by Maru Public Opinion finds two-thirds (66%) of Canadians support Prime Minister Justin Trudeau bringing in the Emergencies Act to give the federal government extra powers to handle the protests across the country.

However, the underlying dynamic for that support is driven by a mix of pent-up emotion, resolve, and unsettling admissions:

• a vast majority (82%) say that there is no way this protesting should have gone on as long as it has
• a majority (67%) believe that it's time to clear out the protesters in Ottawa, even if it means people who will not leave may get hurt, or worse
• half (50%) say they’re proud of the way the police have handled the situation with the protesters
• a majority (71%) believe Canada is an international embarrassment for not being able to run its own country
• a majority (54%) say they’re ashamed to be a Canadian because of how their politicians have let these protests get out of hand
• a majority (68%) say that regardless of political stripe, the politicians who have contributed to or supported these protests should be voted out of office
• a majority (56%) believe that while the premiers may say that it was time to lower COVID related restrictions, all they’ve done is caved in to the protesters and given them what they wanted
• one-third (32%) are partial to taking up violent actions to protect their fundamental Canadian values"

The polls show they've had quite enough of the lawlessness and sedition.

A fair number of Canadians are sympathetic to the truckers losing their jobs, but more because they think they've been misled by the "extreme right" is this country.

They should mind their own business.

With a number of extended family in Canada, I can say that "indifference" is not the reaction. Shock and anger at the gall of Trudeau- whom at least those I spoke with not call Trudummy- is the reaction.
Canadians are generally peaceful, laid back people; they have not been exposed to such blatant political abuse in the past. You can only push people so far.
At a minimum Trudeau no longer has a political future.

 

so why does this fear of violenceto your family exist in the first place?? Something to do with the violent culture one lives in?? Which brings up this whle freedomthing..........Howis anyone "free" when they live in fea of being violated??

The so called protesters in CDA have lost credibility......as they have broken laws. .........and "freedom" does no t mean a law less society........... They have occupied an area ......with intentions of overthrowing the CDN gvo't....... and that is illegal..........as they in a democracy have the right to VOTE a gov't out of office.
Bringing in children and trying t o use them as shields ........is irresponsible..........but any standard.

Sadly folks throw around words lie tyranny in a very casual way.........and that sow s they have little understanding of what is happening............and they are getting their informational SOCIAL media...........which is misinformation, inflammatory, etc.

This was not a true protest.......it was taking a city and other vital areas hostage...........and that is illegal..

These "protesters" don't have to lose their trucks and licences.............they can wise up and leave. They have made their point.........

Some of these "protesters" claim the will happily go to jail.................. fine....let them....... But that makes a mockery of their cry for "freedom"

It is like a throw back to the sixties...........

From all reports .....(valid.......no social media crap)............the police have done an admirable job........in the most ugly of circumstances.........taking verbal abuse from these " peaceful.............. "protesters"

 

Society is what it is.

By the way, were you sober when you wrote this? It does not appear so.

I'd say they've lost the battle, but not the war. They forced Trudy's hand and made it show its true colors: A petulent petty tyrant drunk on the bitter nectar of despotism, bullying the worker bees it claimed to care for so deeply, scribbling feverishly to update its enemies list. Mao would be proud were it still alive.

But in the end, the Canadian people get the government they deserve. It is in their hands now, perhaps slightly better-informed about the true nature of Dear Leader.

 

It makes no difference what I accept or do not accept. I live in the society as it exists, not as I would like it to be.

fair enough....and realistic........ No society is ideal.......... as not everyone would be satisfied......no matter how "ideal" it was. that is the reality of human nature.

And the firearms used by both sides during the War of Independence were also the most sophisticated small arms of the era and regular citizens could own the same small arms as the military.

 

The fact that a pen can be used to kill in no way means guns aren't needed. You're failing at basic logic here.
