Uh-Oh! More Ice In the Antarctic!

We have not warmed in almost 20 year yet we have emitted more than expected of CO2 (supposedly a greenhouse gas). Global warming is a crock and it is disgusting how the facts against this crock are buried.

 

CO2 is supposedly a greenhouse gas! ...and the earth is supposedly orbiting the sun, and the earth is supposedly a sphere, and we're supposedly held on it by gravity....ya CO2 was confirmed as a GHG a 155 yrs ago but you carry on with your alternate science facts, it's amusing...

 

so over the last 17 years we have emitted more than expected CO2 yet no warming? How is that possible? Which excuses, I mean theory do you subscribe to, that explains the "pause" as libbs are calling it? Let me guess, you subscribe to "the oceans ate the warming" theory? That's my favorite excuse.

 

Funny how the same people who claim scientists are ignoring water vapor, clouds, solar activity, volcanoes, and any other climate variable they can think of will turn around and claim that because warming has "paused" that CO2 can't be the cause.

 

Don't you remember the ship with 74 global warming propagandists including "scientist" Chris Turney who decided they would take a cruise to the antarctic to show all the ice had melted but their ship got stuck in ice, as well as a Chinese ice breaker ship that tried to rescue them, an Australian ice breaker, and for a while a Russian ice breaker.

Remember Turney's "explanation"? He said the increased ice is just a local weather event, it had nothing to do with the global climate. LOL

 

and why do ships head to the arctic or antarctic in summer?....

Because there's no hope of getting through winter pack ice...

And what happens to winter ice in summer?...
Yes that's right it breaks up into enormous ice flows...

And why do ships get trapped by ice flows?...
Wind and currents push them around closing the previously open sea lanes trapping the ships...

Heard it already, you are just regurgitating Turney's excuse. If a somewhat scientist can spout that stuff and it doesn't stick, why do you think you can repeat it and make it work?

 

If you think they never expected to encounter ice on their trip, then explain why they took an Finnish-built ice-strengthened ship on their trip?

I'd like to say I'm surprised when AGW deniers turn out to be basing claims on debunked science or simple failure to understand their own cites, but it happens nearly every time, so I can't.

Turney himself said the purpose of the trip was to see the loss of ice in the antarctic, and tehy got stuck where there wasn't supposed to be ice.

But I imagine - not sure, given its the warmers - that they aren't completely stupid and went in a ship that was capable of handling the antarctic.

or why canadian ice breakers only operate in the arctic during northern summer months and in antarctic ice breakers operate in the southern hemisphere summer...why even bother sending ice breakers according to our self taught marine expert battle there is no ice in the summer...clearly battle is a much greater authority on sea ice than the worlds combined ice breaking fleets...

And no Al Gore never claimed he invented the internet, he was credited by internet pioneers with creating the environment for its growth to what it is today...but hey, denierworld is never embarassed to let awkward details like facts spoil their fantasy world...

because that's essentially how science works...a scientist puts forward a testable hypothesis...other scientists will question and probe the hypothesis looking for flaws and see if they can repeat the results...if the hypothesis is shot down for errors the originator may abandon his hypothesis or adjust it and try again...when a hypothesis withstands repeated challenges and testing the scientific consensus will the be that it is accepted as true, a Theory...

 

why is that, would you prefer another Maunder Minimum and little Ice age? The Earths temperature has not fully recovered from the last one. I suppose for winter sports enthusiasts a colder Earth is a good thing but myself I could not wait for this last winter to end
